From Zelensky's speech today:
quote:
Zelensky basically says Trump leverages Putin’s invasion to get 100% return on the past and future support to Ukraine. Zelensky: The deal asks to pay back 2 dollars for every dollar of the U.S. aid. When the U.S. sells weapons to Israel, Qatar, Saudis, do they get 100% return?

If Trump was walking down an alley and saw a woman being raped, he would steal her purse.
quote:
The US gave to Ukraine 100 billion dollars, not 500, not 350, not 700, but 100 I will not recognize 500 billion I will not commit Ukrainians to pay to the U.S. for 10 years what the U.S. didn’t spend.

I guess he refused to listen to the advice that JD Vance gave him earlier in the week.

Doubling down on stupidity by mocking Trump. Good luck with that, Cargo Pants!

It’s a savy political move.

Russia and Trump have painted him as the bad guy, the roadblock to peace. Now he offers to resign if Ukraine gets done security guarantees.

Of course Putin won’t accept, but guess what; he is no longer an obstacle to peace.

Pretty safe for him to say that when he knows there is 0% chance of Ukraine ever getting into Nato or Russia agreeing to that.

He really went out on a limb there. Why doesn't he rescind the decree that prohibits Ukraine from negotiating with Russia?

Why doesn't he call for elections?

That is how you interpret it? Wake the frick up.

Everyone is laughing at him. Well, he is a comedian, so maybe he is making comments for laughs.

Cargo Pants has zero leverage.

Exactly, but he is no longer seen an obstacle to peace, but a peace facilitator.

Ok, more copium, but Chancellor Merz's election HQ staff were all watching Zelensky's televised speech when Merz walked in after the victory. A video is worth a thousand words.

quote:

In the office of the CDU/CSU and future Chancellor Merz, who won the elections in Germany, they are watching Zelenskyy’s press conference while at the same time congratulating Merz on his victory.

Oh yeah...

By continuing to bring up Ukraine getting into Nato he is actually stalling/hurting peace negotiations. Negotiations/peace chances will go no where until Zelensky accepts reality.

Lol he offered to resign if he can get something Russia won't agree to. He isnt some Martyr or political genius, it costs him nothing to do that.

I'll delete my account if any poster here gives me total legal ownership of the moon, recognized by the global community

I don't know why you are flexing. The AfD got just about what they were projected to get: about 20%. They just about doubled their percentage. The CDU always led in the polls. No surprise that they won.

Your side is having to manufacture victories at this point.
Jesus, it's a coalition government. Smell the coffee. And they didn't get 20%, they didn't even get the 22% they were projected to get. They got 19.5%. It makes a huge difference.

Because the communist leaning BSW, a new party split off from the Linke (Leftist) Party didn't reach the minimum 5%, they can't take seats in the Bundestag. Their 4.7% of Linke (pro-Russian) votes are no longer able to join the AfD to block Ukraine aid or anti-Russian actions. "Mr. Putin, Mr. Taurus on Line One..."

By the way, how are your Troskyites [sic] doing these days? Haven't heard you talk about them lately. They still keeping you up at night?

Reunification ended up in things being a bit lopsided and the East Germans are still kind of discriminated against and shut out of things... West Germans would prefer to hire or generally deal with other EU citizens in their socioeconomic class than East Germans. Same problem in the UK, and that was a thing that helped motivate "Brexit" among the working class, and is why they didn't like the Tories being in charge when all was said and done.

Being a "progressive Leftist" I'm sensitive and empathetic to that... but apparently doing anything about that is "DEI" so...

Yes, and here's another map that tells us a lot more.

After the reunification, the Ostdeutsch that had any get up and go got up and left. In a hurry. The ones still living there today line up for hours in front of the grocery stores to relive the good old days. And refuse to take capitalist jobs, living off welfare just as their parents and grandparents did. They also watch Russian TV all day, complain about everything and drink. A lot.

The former East Germans have always wished for the Wall to go up again, and now the former West Germans agree... Scheiße, was für ein Durcheinander.

Do he offers to resign and get out if the way. That’s not leverage, that’s putting the ball in someone else’s court.

But that’s not all he said.[
quote]"Are you ready to resign as President if it means peace for Ukraine?" "Yes, if it means peace for Ukraine. Or I can exchange it for joining NATO," - President Zelenskyy.[/quote]

He said he’d resign to bring peace. Don’t skip the big part. We know NATO is not in the cards.

Do you really believe Taurus is going to reverse this war?

You Troskyites/Zelenskyites are delusional. Out of touch with reality.
