It certainly requires air superiority overhead. It's not a fighter

It's a lot more than just that. It's so slow that it would be very vulnerable to MANPADS.

They were designed to get to target area with over 50% not returning. It's not like Manpads haven't been around for 50 years or so.

Putin has Maduro, fatty in NK, the Chinese Communist Party, al-Assad, the Ayatolla, a bunch of warlords in Africa, and for some unknown reason Marjorie Taylor Greene and some all-american messageboard freedom fighters. Hell of a team he's got already.

So what if Trump pulls all support but Ukraine and Western Europe just keep on fighting?

I don’t believe Trump would do that. He wouldn’t give away something unilaterally, he would expect something in return.

In this scenario though, Ukraine would not have the money and the resources to continue fighting though. Losing US aid, including intelligence, would force them to surrender. Europe would also just do what Washington did and end support.

I'm no expert, but don't you have to be located within 10km of Ukrainian servicemembers in order to take them as prisoners of war?

I don't think Trump can make peace deal at this point.

Not a chance in hell of outright surrender.
Losing US aid, in and of itself, would force Ukraine to the negotiating table though.

If Trump wins, I'd give >90% odds the Ukraine-Russian war ends prior to his inauguration.

LOL. Ukraine is just about to get $50 billion in loans backed by frozen Russian assets. That will enable them to fight for a very good while.

And Eastern European allies are far too invested in this war to withdraw support. If the US ended support, nations such as Poland would likely directly fight in the conflict on Ukraine's behalf. The Poles cannot afford for Ukraine to lose, and they know it.

In reality, they did a whole lot better than that.

Volume V of the Gulf War Air Power Survey, available on the Air Force Historical Support Division’s official website, is an authoritative source for the relevant information.

According to the survey, between January 17 and February 28, 1991, a fleet of 132 A-10s executed 7983 combat sorties. There were 13 recorded instances of battle damage from enemy fire. In addition, there were four combat losses.

The Baltics and Scandinavia too. The Baltics are purging Russians because they have always wanted their independence and hated Russian/Soviet domination.
