You are a neocon. You want a permanent, war time economy. Your sole indicia for economic health is “how many shells are being produced in state owned facilities”. You are the MIC.

Prisoner executions tend to backfire by making soldiers fight to the death rather than surrender.
But that's WHY the Russians do it, so their own soldiers fight to the death rather than surrender to Ukrainians for fear of retaliation executions.
Also, they're trying to scare Ukrainians from joining the Uke military.

That would be Russia making a decision to escalate - not NATO forcing a war.
So we'd enter WWIII .... but it would be Russia's fault.

Russia 'not planning any concessions,' Putin says on peace talks with Ukraine
by Kateryna Hodunova October 25, 2024 6:08 PM
Any peace agreement to end Russia's war with Ukraine must be in Moscow's favor, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with state media on Oct. 25.
Ahead of Ukraine's first peace summit in June, Putin had outlined conditions for negotiations, which included Kyiv's surrender of the four oblasts illegally claimed by Moscow in September 2022. Russia has since said it will not engage in talks as long as Ukrainian forces remain in Kursk Oblast.
"Any outcome must be in Russia's favor, I say directly, without any embarrassment, and must be based on the realities on the battlefield. And without any doubt, we are not going to make any concessions here; there will be no swaps," Putin said.

Musk has been in contact with Putin, Russian officials since 2022, WSJ reports
1/10 The pieces are coming together: the richest man in the world backs Trump in every possible way, including illegal ones, while both of them promote Kremlin talking points and have secret communications with the Kremlin at the same time. Coincidence? I don't think so!
2/10 As stated by @wartranslated, the pieces are coming together. The Wall Street Journal reported, citing unnamed official sources, that Elon Musk has been in regular communication with russian President Vladimir Putin and other Kremlin officials since late 2022.
3/10 Musk initially backed Ukraine, but his perspective began to change in 2022, increasingly leaning towards pro-russian views and aligning with russian talking points.
4/10 Musk is known to be an unstable pathological liar, and although he asserted a few months ago that he was not endorsing any candidate, he is now fully backing Trump, utilizing his platform X and making significant financial contributions.
5/10 Trump has secretly maintained communication with Putin since losing the 2020 election, while unlawfully retaining classified documents at his residence. Additionally, he has surrounded himself with pro-russian individuals, including those on his transition team.
6/10 Trump was already problematic in 2016, but he has changed for the worse since then. His current team is composed of isolationists who act in the interests of russia and china. By 2024, there appear to be no rational or honest individuals remaining in Trump's circle.
7/10 Trump is now strongly supported by a group of pro-russian, anti-democratic south african oligarchs. While they cannot hold the presidency themselves as they were not born in the US, they can exert influence over the country through Trump and Vance.
8/10 Both Trump and Musk share pro-russian talking points, have had access to classified information, and maintain secret communications with the Kremlin. Doesn’t that seem suspicious? This issue deserves much more attention.
9/10 For those closely monitoring these individuals, this event comes as no surprise. It's a positive development that they are being exposed. Both Musk and Trump pose significant risks to the United States and the entire world, as they are essentially puppets of the Kremlin.

So is Trump just going to do whatever Putin says again now?
You guys flip flop back and forth so often on whether a Trump win would be good for Ukraine or not, just trying to see where we are this week.
Thanks!

Starlink is not available in Taiwan after negotiations reportedly fell apart over Taiwan’s requirement that a local entity have a majority share of any joint venture established.
---
Taiwan is expected to have access to low earth orbit satellite internet service by the end of the month, a step the government says is crucial in case a Chinese attack cripples the island’s communications.
The forthcoming service is via a contract between Taiwan’s main telecoms company, Chunghwa, and a UK-European company, Eutelsat OneWeb, signed last year, and marks a new milestone in Taiwan’s efforts to address technological vulnerabilities, particularly its internet access, after attempts to get access to Elon Musk’s Starlink service collapsed.

Ok we get it. You and a few others have just turned this thread into a mini Political Talk thread. It’s cooked. Great job.

Haven't you heard? Leon will be moving to Lithuania if Trump wins to man the front line against invading Russian tanks.

Literally the only thing I've ever seen you 'contribute' to this thread are either complaints about posters actually in it or complaints about posters on the PT board.

Typical of you to be uninformed... the Lithuanians have already blown bridges and mined roads and put dragon's teeth and other anti-tank obstacles on their border, and especially on the route to Kaliningrad. And Poland says it will instantly strike St. Petersburg if the Baltic states are invaded.
