Hard to believe the Ukies have the logistical resources to make a big move into Belograd and Kurst. If they do it is a game changer.
Interesting that Ukraine had a tank recovery vehicle, M88, in a forward area in Kursk, as well as heavy haul trailer to take damaged vehicles back for repairs. This is very well organized, and well planned invasion.
NOT A RAID.

They plan on staying for awhile. Just hope they can protect their supply lines.

Here is the location of the metering station for the natural gas pipeline. It's definitely a big one with all those large meter runs.

I'm also aware of specific excavating equipment already in the region being used to create fortifications.
That's why Russia's delay in responding to the invasion is so critical: every day that Ukraine holds this territory is a day that they are digging in.
The political reasons to hold some of this territory are extraordinary, so I hear people saying that it doesn't make military sense to try to defend it, and my response is that they have to think beyond the tactical level. Ukraine is going to defend this part of Russia with everything they've got.

If negotiations are the only path to the end, now Ukraine has Russian land to exchange for Ukrainian land.

How far is this from the nearest front line in Ukraine? Or is this a new Frontline?

If tweet fails to load, click here. The current area of Ukrainian control is obviously much, much greater than is being mapped. Of course, Ukraine also likely has recon and advance groups further out, in areas that they don't actually control, so mapping "control" involves a lot of guesswork at present, especially when we have to exclusively rely on Russian reports (the Ukrainian OPSEC has been truly extraordinary so far).

The distance from the closest frontline is just under 100 miles.

Damn. I had no idea it was that far. Thats a long way. If they close the door behind them, could be bad. So they have to transport men and equipment through enemy held territory almost a hundred miles. That's quite a feat to say the least. They definitely went all in

Btw, if anyone hasn't see 20 days in Mariupol, and 1 year in Ukrainian trenches on yt, they are both fantastic.

Russians just posted a video of them destroying a Ukrainian tank at these coordinates: 51°17'16.9"N 35°19'22.2"E. This is much further north than any map is showing Ukrainian forces.

Also, no one has mapped Ukraine to be in control of Korenevo. Korenevo has a population of over 6000. But Ukraine is there.
