The only country that seems to have any interest in invading Russia is China... and they're being welcomed in and sold land
I hear they are scooping it up here in the states also.
Our government isn't selling it to them as Russia is...
They're also getting around some watchdog things with the help of the American citizens and firms selling the land to them, but that's being straightened out.
There will probably soon be regulations on who Americans can sell farmland to...
NBC News: "Is China Really buying up U.S. farmland? Here's what we found"
A review by NBC News of thousands of documents filed with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, however, shows very few purchases by Chinese buyers in the past year and a half — fewer than 1,400 acres in a country with 1.3 billion acres of agricultural land. In fact, the total amount of U.S. agricultural land owned by Chinese interests is less than three-hundredths of 1%.
But the review also reveals a federal oversight system in which reporting of foreign ownership is lax and enforcement minimal.
Any foreign individual or entity that buys or leases U.S. agricultural land is required by federal law to report the transaction to the USDA within 90 days, yet some were not reported for years — in one case, more than 20 years. And in that same time period, no one has been fined more than $121,000 for failure to make such a report.
Still, U.S. farmland is different than the resource riches of Siberia...

That’s absolutely terrible. I can’t fathom how any of these people on here actually cheer Russia on like a deranged football fan. They are fricking animals that need to be dealt with and put in their place. I would find as many troop concentrations across the border in Russia as I possibly could and rain cluster ATACMS down on them. They have forfeited their right to breathe as far as I’m concerned.

Ukraine looks to be in line to receive new short range air defense system called NOMADS (National Maneuver Air Defense System). These are specifically made to cover troops on the move from things like drones and attack helicopters. Slowly but surely Russia’s air defense is being stretched while Ukraine is building a formidable ring of air defense systems from SHORADS to long range systems like the Patriot.

Oh go frick yourself. You’re really going to attempt to argue Russia wasn’t at fault for that deliberate attack on civilians? You seriously make me want to vomit. IDGAF if you’re really a Russian or American, there is no excuse for the bloodshed Russia has caused for over 2 fricking years! Go suck on Putin’s tiny cock some more.

They're also doing this because Ukraine has figured out where to hit tanks. With drones to ignite the ammo on board and make the tank completely unsalvageable. It's like a ''sweet spot'' on the tank. I saw a video of one getting hit. The tank literally disappeared. Similar to the ''cope cages'' we see now.

And yet, the turtle tank in the video was STILL disabled by a drone, even despite the electronic countermeasures from the device on top of the tank.

ISW Update
quote:
Key Takeaways:
Russian forces appear to be intensifying the tempo of their offensive operations in Donetsk Oblast while decreasing the rate of attacks in northern Kharkiv Oblast — consistent with ISW's assessment that Russian offensive operations in Kharkiv Oblast are primarily intended to fix and distract Ukrainian forces in order to allow Russian forces to intensify elsewhere in theater.
US policy continues to prohibit Ukrainian forces from striking legitimate military targets in Russian territory in range of Ukrainian HIMARS.
Russian forces are exploiting the sanctuary that US policy still protects to support Russian combat operations in northern Kharkiv Oblast and elsewhere in Ukraine.
Russian air defenses will reduce the effectiveness of Ukrainian F-16s if the US does not allow Ukrainian forces to use ATACMS to destroy Russian air defense systems in Russian territory.
The partial removal of the Russian sanctuary has already had a net positive effect, underscoring the powerful latent potential a larger policy change could achieve.
Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren announced on June 21 that the Netherlands and another unspecified country will supply Ukraine with a Patriot air defense system.
Russian opposition outlet Vazhnye Istorii reported on a series of leadership changes within the Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) Fifth Service, which reportedly specializes in collecting intelligence within Russia and the former Soviet Union.
Western countries have reportedly provided Ukraine with roughly 800 million euros ($855.4 million) worth of Serbian-produced ammunition despite Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's ongoing efforts to balance favor between Russia and the West.
Satellite imagery confirmed that Ukrainian forces struck at least one Russian air defense training center in Krasnodar Krai during recent strikes on June 20 to 21.
Select Russian milbloggers claimed that unnamed actors, implied to be Ukrainians, conducted a strike using ATACMS against Rostov Oblast, although ISW cannot independently confirm these reports.
Russian forces recently advanced near Svatove, Chasiv Yar, and Avdiivka.
Russian law enforcement and security agencies continue working with the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) to recruit those accused of criminal offenses into the Russian military, likely as part of ongoing crypto-mobilization efforts.

This is cool. We sent Ukraine a Hawkeye 105mm artillery system for them to use and test out for us in combat.

That’s actually a smart idea for the type of war that is being fought. Yea it’s a smaller gun in the 105 mm but that gun is also well known for its accuracy. They would also be cheap and fast to produce versus regular self propelled artillery since it’s just a rotating 105 on a Humvee. It would also be much easier to hide from enemy drones with its small size. Ukraine could use a couple hundred of those to good use. Lord knows we have enough Humvees in storage so they wouldn’t need to produce a new vehicle.

Not to mention the thousands of Ukrainian children the Russians have taken and sent to God knows where.

National Security Adviser Chang Ho-jin said on Sunday that the mix of South Korea's arms support for Ukraine will vary depending on how Russia's military cooperation with North Korea goes.
Appearing on a KBS program on Sunday, Chang stressed that Seoul's decision on whether to provide weapons to Ukraine depends on Russia.
The security adviser rhetorically asked if there would be any line remaining for South Korea if Russia gave precision weapons to North Korea, hinting that South Korea could provide lethal weapons to Ukraine if Russia crossed the line.
On Thursday, Chang said that the top office will reconsider providing arms support to Ukraine after Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty that includes a vow of mutual aid if either country is attacked.
Later that day, Putin warned that it would be a "big mistake" if South Korea supplied weapons to Ukraine.
As for future relations between South Korea and Russia, Chang said that not only South Korea but also Russia should make efforts to improve bilateral relations, adding that if Moscow wants to restore and develop relations with Seoul after the Ukraine war ends, Russia should think carefully.

This war could have, and should have, been over TWO YEARS AGO!
The bloodlusters cheering it on, regardless of side, are disgusting!
Given that, and the audacity of your conniption-fit flame-out notwithstanding, does the emotional release make you feel better?
End the damn war!
Invite Ukraine into the EU.
Then unleash vicious anti-Russian sanctions, etc. during the peace.

The one we gave Ukraine was sent in April and is still in the fight, so we should hopefully get some good data from it.
The thing that makes Hawkeye such a good idea for Ukraine is, as LSUPilot says, its small size and ability to hide from drones, as compared to much larger SPGs.
My gut is that it makes sense for the US Army to invest in Hawkeye production.
