Everybody take a breath. ISIS claims credit for a lot of shite, like the Las Vegas shooting.

Attacks on Russian oil refineries should continue – General Ben Hodges
Attacks on Russian oil refineries have a significant impact on Russia's ability to fight a war, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, commander of U.S. forces in Europe from 2014-17, has said.
Hodges said during the 16th annual Kyiv Security Forum, founded by Arseniy Yatsenyuk's Open Ukraine Foundation, that hits on refineries do have a significant impact. According to him, Russia can pay less for this war, and this also deprives it of the necessary fuel to continue hostilities. "I would recommend ignoring calls to stop such attacks," General Hodges said.
He also stressed that it is necessary to strengthen sanctions against Russia. Also, according to the general, 2024 will be the year of industrial competition.
"Ukraine and the West should win this competition. I am talking about of course building up ammunition supplies, but also moving forward maintenance capabilities so that the Ukrainian soldiers can fix forward equipment that is broken or damaged on site, as well as increasing their ammunition stocks," Hodges said.
Ukraine, in his opinion, should put pressure on Russian logistics, in particular on Crimea, in order to make the peninsula unsuitable for Russian troops.

Oopps, FSB did a bad job, this is Belarusian number plate

If this X poster is right the van is from Belarus. Ukrainian license plates don’t end with a number but Belarusian license plates do. Don’t forget that Belarus imported a bunch of Syrian refugees to try and send into Poland a few years ago but they were stopped at the border and have been left in limbo in Belarus for two years. Those are refugees who may or may not have included ISIS members but that population is one that is full of people who could be easily radicalized by ISIS. ISIS has had it out for Russia since Russia intervened in Syria. If that is the case president Lukashencko better not leave the ground floor of any building ever again.
ETA: I would also not be surprised if it was a false flag. Sad situation either way and prayers for the victims and their loved ones.

If correct this would be one step better than putting a copy of the Sims instead of Sim cards

According to my friends in Moscow if you are caught wearing blue and yellow in the same outfit you will be harassed.

True but ISIS-K and it’s threats was in the news yesterday.
quote:
It’s complicated: Terror group ISIS-K targets U.S. — and its worst enemies Iran, Russia, Taliban also in the crosshairs of resurgent jihadist group
quote:LINK
The rapidly growing threat posed by the Islamic State-Khorasan Province, the jihadi terrorist group’s Afghanistan affiliate better known as ISIS-K, has linked the U.S. with some of its most bitter enemies, including Russia, Iran and even Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban regime. Each of those actors has been targeted by either direct, deadly attacks from ISIS-K or, in Moscow’s case, seems to have narrowly avoided disaster on multiple occasions.
If it is ISIS or ISIS-K it would not be their first time they have tried to attack Russia. First time they succeeded but not the first attempt.
ETA: I am not jumping to conclusions just yet because frankly I believe anything is possible at this point. However, if it was ISIS-K and they were some of the Afghan refugees that Belarus flew in then I may actually laugh so hard that I pass out.

Heh. They brought in a lot more than Afghans to try to push into Europe and inflame nativist/non-nativist European political conflict. That would be a little awkward between Luka and Putin if those immigrants they brought in to inflame European nativism ended up causing trouble in Russia instead.
BTW, I was just cautioning people not to attribute the attack of ISIS on their word alone. They lost a lot of clout and for awhile were trying to get publicity by making false claims to terrorist attacks.

ISIS-K could very well be trying to take credit for something they did not do. However, the shooters in the pictures all have muslim beards. ISIS-K attacked Iran in January. The USA and UK issued warnings to their citizens on March 7th, but Putin dismissed them 3 days ago.

This about sums it up:
I should add that the "false flag" stuff is equally unlikely. No one in Russia would believe that Ukrainians would do this, so it wouldn't work. It was also far too messy, risky, and complicated to be an FSB operation. In other words, we know that Putin would happily kill his own citizens in a false flag op, because he's done it before, but this bears no marks of such an operation.

This is what our own embassy in Russia put out on March 7th:
We clearly had the intel that Islamic extremists were planning an attack, and we passed that intel on.
As it concerns the war, I think that the only major takeaway is that a lot of Russians will conclude that the FSB was so distracted by Ukraine that they failed to take appropriate precautions.

The really bad look for the Russian security apparatus is that the attack took place over a fairly long period of time, and yet, the attackers appear to have successfully escaped at the end of the attack. It just makes the FSB look like chumps. That is hugely embarrassing and yet another reason that this was absolutely not a false flag.
I would imagine that many Muscovites will be on edge, worried about the next attack, until these men are caught.

Yep. The chaos of war opens many opportunities for the world's worst bad actors, but then again I wouldn't put it past Putin to create an emotional false flag again.
