Russian tanks are fooked because they didn't invest in fuel efficiency. They gonna run out of gas baws and it's gonna be a free for all.

The fuel efficiency problem for the Russian military is perhaps exacerbated by a failure to make deficiencies known to Putin for fear of receiving his wrath.
“Generals, are we prepared to go to war?” - Putin
“Yes, sir!” [hides food and fuel inventories at the bottom of stack papers]
“What was that?” - Putin
“Oh, nothing.”

I predict Russia will keep going until Ukraine is all theirs, they install the puppet government everyone expects them to install, and for all intents and purposes, Ukraine becomes Russia lite.
I hope you are wrong and I'm not convinced that you are. I hope Ukrainians can wage a guerilla war until the cost and duration of the war is too much for Russia. I hope Russia's economy collapses and the pushback at home is too much for Putin.

Ah the good ole days from 2004 when people were called "Sadaam sympathizers" for being against the war to "find the WMDs *wink wink*"
That’s funny because Putin is fabricating pretexts for invading just like Iraq and you are totally ok with it this time.

Making multiple false equivalencies in the same post, bold strategy lol

Nobody is getting downvoted or called out because they are listing military facts and nobody on here has claimed Ukraine is winning or is gonna win They are being downvoted and called out because of the pro-Russian tone in their post. They are almost excited to talk about how powerful Russia is how Ukraine should just give up. They are rooting for Russia without having the courage to say it (a few have outright said it), it’s sick. Nobody believes the Ukrainian military can win this war but we like to celebrate when the victims of this aggression have some success. Rooting for those being oppressed is human nature.
The default position around here is questioning favorable news, even outlandish and obvious pro-Ukrainian propaganda, is considered "a pro-Russian tone".

Or you could just do what I do and downvote them because they are a Clemson fan....

Ukrainian authorities say citizens don't need to declare captured Russian tanks and military equipment for tax purposes

Wasn’t Iraq’s army considered Top 10 in the world at the time?
Prior to Desert Storm, I believe it had one of the largest tank armies in the world.
However, like Women's basketball, there is quite a drop off from the #1 seed to #5 to #10.

Only if they were so vigilant about questioning Russian propaganda which has caused the senseless thousands of deaths.

This cycle will never end because almost daily, someone will say something like "careful, you'll be called a Putin fanboy" and it begins yet another 5 page argument about the same thing again and again. It's a daily occurrence now.

I really really don't think this is true
The main posters in this thread regularly joke about how the Ghost of Kiev is fake, how the equipment and lives lost by Russia is probably 1/2 of the Ukraine estimates, etc.
Honestly, I haven't seen anyone make a thoughtful Russia counterpoint (as in, Russia is likely to eventually succeed, Russia is holding back, etc.) that didn't get upvotes/agreement.
I think the demand for neocons clamoring for war exceeds the supply by a lot, both here and elsewhere. It's simply not a dominant or even significant minority viewpoint. I have said I think that could change, as Putin changes tactics and the videos of bombed out apartments and residential areas pile up. TBH I think many of you guys are guarding against that possible future and hence, you don't want to be pro-Ukraine or anti-Russia because you anticipate it evolving into a march for war. I understand the sentiment, but it results in weird conversation now because it's a fight against an argument very few are making.

Russia might be winning the war from a geographic standpoint. They are getting their arse kicked at home and abroad for support and their economy is forever destroyed. Putin thought the world would be apathetic. Instead Russia is gonna be like Somalia with a humanitarian crisis on hand. He will be removed.

I hoping that although Russia will win in Ukraine, that the less than optimum showing of his military and the nipple twisting the Russian economy is getting will give Putin pause to think about any moves against Poland or the Baltics anytime soon.
