He's definitely had time to make himself scarce, but he had apparently gone back to video posting, promoting Wagner in Africa from there last I saw. He's been coming and going from Russia. Maybe Putin pulled the trigger when he was trying to raise his profile again. But who knows. Russia is a bizarre place.
