Buzz words? Remember when this thread claimed it was Russia blowing up the Nordstream when it was actually the West?
Buzz words - Words used across media mediums to catch attention and make it sound like the user has a deeper understanding of a subject when the opposite is usually the case.
Yes I remember, few in this thread claimed Russia did it. There was plenty of discussion on why Russia or Ukraine would have done it as well as how they may have. No conclusive consensus was reached, much as there has not been one produced by the wider world yet.

This country has not fought a humanitarian war in near a century.
There is no such thing as a humanitarian war, this is an oxymoron.
Humanitarian aid or intervention can be provided in a war but they do not change the war to a more humane version. There is a case to be made that Western support of Ukraine falls outside of the definition of these but with the lack of Ukrainian aggression across pre-2014 Russian borders this would be fairly tough to back up.

You wouldn't know a war crime if it bit you in the arse. Just mindlessly repeating something you read on the internet is a good way to look stupid.

Ukraine declares six Russian ports 'war risk' area
by The Kyiv Independent news desk August 5, 2023 2:39 PM
Ukraine's Naval Forces officially declared on Aug. 4 the waters of Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, Tuapse, Sochi, and Taman, located in the Russian-controlled part of the Black Sea, as a "war risk" area.
This announcement follows a series of explosions in the Black Sea over the past few days, including an attack on the Russian landing vessel Olenegorskiy Gornyak, which was reportedly hit by a surface drone on Aug. 4.

It's crazy that Ukraine can threaten Russian shipping better than Russia can threaten Ukrainian shipping.

I expect that there will eventually be packs of Ukrainian USVs hunting Russian military vessels anywhere in the Black Sea, especially those that launch missiles.

Moron. Ukraine is a cesspool. The Obamas put the puppet president in office.
Go on, I bet you won’t admit that Ukraine is a country full of thugs and the Ukraine government captured tortured American journalists for posting YouTube videos.
Go on I bet you won’t admit we have no business going back on our agreement not putting NATO bases east of Germany.
Go on, admit it was who committed the war crime of plowing Nordstream.
Putin is a scumbag. But he’s not even Hussein.
This isn’t our fight. But it is, because the oligarchs who indoctrinate you are extracting riches from our tax dollars.
While y’all discuss tanks and brigades like you’re playing Solider hoping your team gets new toys.
While the White House approved civilian killing cluster bombs to be used.
Because that’s what modern foreign policy does-bomb the shite out of countries then go in and rebuild.

I mean I'm rooting for Ukraine and all, but this is over the top. People grow up in systems that they have little to no control over and may not know anything different. Does not make them subhuman nor deserving of death.

The tanker carries the capacity of about 2.5 each US river tank barges if fully loaded. 6619 DWT with just over 7 US oil barrels per ton for likely cargo(s) being refined products. Say around 40,000 BBLS.
Ships which travel within the Black Sea for normal trade are usually small

Another way of stating it is we are spending a billion per acre for them to get their land back, FFS Putin would have sold it back to them cheaper.

That's 62720 acres. So are a billion an acre just for 5 weeks $62,720,000,000,000.00 or just under 10x the global GDP
