If it is true then it poses the question as to where he might be heading to take refuge, one of the Stans? Iran? China?

This board actually believes Russia is on the brink of a massive civil war. Gotta hand it to them, they eat up the propaganda at every turn. The real news is the failed counteroffensive.

don't believe the lack of resistance is down to some mass revolt at this point, though that possibility remains, it is more likely Russian's inability to respond to unexpected changes at ground level effectively meaning the troops just don't know WTF to do.

My nephew who lives in Moscow and was mobilized is a doctor who was exempt from military conscription and has never fired a gun in his life. He was pulled from his apartment last night, put in a van, dropped off a checkpoint outside of Moscow and given a uniform and a rusty AK. I have talked to him since then and he said most of the "soldiers" at the checkpoint with him are like him. I would imagine that the lack of resistance is due to the fact that the Russian troops sent to face Wagner are not actually soldiers.

There are some pretty funny takes in the early parts of this thread. Lots of Putin is a genius, this is all Biden's fault, Ukraine will roll over instantly chatter.

You can pretty much count on the exact opposite of whatever Stidham posts.

I don't think the timing was that organized.

wagner was stockpiling weapons and ammo and the Russian MoD started catching on. A few months ago they started tightening supplies to Wagner and trying to replace Wagner leadership, so Prigozhin set his plan in motion.

Of course the idea that Bakhmut could have been a decoy while Wagner and Ukraine worked out a deal is pretty interesting to consider.

Most of Russia’s actual soldiers are hundreds of miles away in Ukraine. I don’t think there is very much between this Wagner column and Moscow. At least not much with the level of milt training and experience as the Wagner forces have.

Is Steven Seagal still over there? Are they going to make him fight now too since he's now a Russian citizen? What about Snowden? That Tara Reade lady just moved over there too b/c she said Russia made her feel safe.
