It is 100% real, it was posted on the Deputy Minister of Defense's official Telegram page. Looking back I must have been distracted when I posted because that is not the Deputy Minister (who is a woman) that is Kyrill Budanov who is the chief of intelligence.

As it turns out Budanov was dead after all and that video was in fact a bad CGI fake meant to deceive Ukrainian supporters. I guess it worked? Ukraine is winning!

Is there anything other than Russian wish casting to support this?

First-hand witness accounts are starting to trickle out now. Then there's the fact that he hasn't been seen in weeks except that creepy AI video when he was the media face of the military every day for months.

Please post some links.

You can't go by "he disappeared", that doesn't prove or disprove anything other than he hasn't been in public.

Russian Ka-52 with a damaged tail boom. According to a Russian source, when the external fuel tanks were dropped, they were blown back, as a result, one of the tanks broke the tail boom of the helicopter. Presumably southern Ukraine.

Impressive that it is maintaining flight.

Not really. Those are torque canceling counter rotating blades. I'm sure the flight characteristics are more wonky but I can see why it flys.

Just as expected, you can't. Yet you'll run to the PB and complain about the OT thread so you can get your daily dose of confirmation bias. YAT (Yet another troll)

Can it get any crazier? Yes, that's possible.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the US is planning to release mosquitoes using UAVs to infect enemy troops.

So maybe the cholera rumors have some truth to them? Russia trying to plant an excuse?

No argument here. I don't know much about this stuff. I just always figured if a helicopter lost its tail/rudder it was done for, but I guess thats not really the case.

You are correct, A normal helicopter is toast if it loses its tail. This design though, doesn't have that issue.

He’ll whine that we don’t want pro Russian viewpoints when the truth is that all we do is ask that he back up his assertions, provide a link, or at least tell us how he got his information.

It’s been over a month since the greatest military victory of this century (aka the capture of Bakhmut), is the Orthodox cross flying over Constantinople yet?

Hopefully, this one doesn't turn out to be fake, but I will take it down if it does.

Ukraine received a total of 45 Soviet-era fighter jets from its Western partners.

On Sunday, the Ukrainian soldiers shot down another Russian Ka-52 "Alligator" helicopter.

The press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Good evening, we are from Ukraine! Another Russian Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ helicopter was shot down this afternoon. The budget of the Russian Federation was cut by about $16 million. Glory to Ukraine," the report says.

I've looked several times in the last 24 hours and I can't find anything to substantiate the claims of Ka-52s being shot down.

I still remember when I was told that I was being ridiculous asking someone to source that Ukraine annexed parts of Kherson in the early 2000s

Yes, the claim is that four have been shot down in the last four days.

One of them, though, is obviously the one whose tail was shot off but managed to retreat and land safely.
