FTR, the explanation of Russia doing it has much more legs than any other. They had the type of surface ship in the area beforehand. Each of the three pipes ruptured is at the deepest spot in the line thus easiest to repair (less saltwater intrusion thus less length affected). Yes the three lines can be repaired as we do it in deeper depths already. But they will need Western technology.

Not sure if posted yet, but security camera video of the dam being hit. Definitely a huge explosion. Also video of it being shelled this morning
The video of the big explosion is old but the videos of the shelling are definitely from this morning.

In other news, the Washington Post has a new story today which severely implicates Ukraine in the Nord Stream explosions.
No way, I read on the Poli Board that the US did it.

When was the big explosion video? Don't know it had been hit like that before

The story about Ukrainians doing it was debunked months ago.

U.S. had intelligence of detailed Ukrainian plan to attack Nord Stream pipeline
The CIA learned last June, via a European spy agency, that a six-person team of Ukrainian special operations forces intended to sabotage the Russia-to-Germany natural gas project
By Shane Harris and Souad Mekhennet
June 6, 2023
Three months before saboteurs bombed the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline, the Biden administration learned from a close ally that the Ukrainian military had planned a covert attack on the undersea network, using a small team of divers who reported directly to the commander in chief of the Ukrainian armed forces.
Details about the plan, which have not been previously reported, were collected by a European intelligence service and shared with the CIA in June 2022. They provide some of the most specific evidence to date linking the government of Ukraine to the eventual attack in the Baltic Sea, which U.S. and Western officials have called a brazen and dangerous act of sabotage on Europe’s energy infrastructure.
...
Biden administration officials now privately concede there is no evidence that conclusively points to Moscow’s involvement. But publicly they have deflected questions about who might be responsible. European officials in several countries have quietly suggested that Ukraine was behind the attack, but resisted publicly saying so over fears that blaming Kyiv could fracture the alliance against Russia. At gatherings of European and NATO policymakers, officials have settled into a rhythm as one senior European diplomat said recently, “Don’t talk about Nord Stream.”

Yeah really no need to overthink this. There is going to be a crossing of the Dnipro, this will slow it down but its going to happen.
Russia did it to slow down the counteroffensive. The timing of this is when we were expecting a break-through any day. Russia probably saw ukr units move up to the river with bridge crossing equipment. Russia saw the “shaping” attacks along the southern front, and knew the big push could come any time now.
Ukraine said ru already mined the dam before and was just waiting for the right time. The timing points away from the dam just breaking on its own.
Russia can now shorten the front it has to defend, and move units east to where the main attack may come from (Zaporizhzhia area).
Russia doesn’t care about human life or its own troops. They don’t care if it floods their positions or ukr civilians. Ukraine does care about its own people and I don’t think they would have done that.
Time will tell and more evidence may come out, but this points to obviously being Russia blowing the dam with underwater charges that they had already laid to slow down a river crossing and free up units to move east.

But Ukrhydroenergo, Ukraine’s state-owned hydropower company, said an explosion inside the engine room had demolished the dam, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said “Russian terrorists” were at fault.
How much you wanna bet it was some Russian dumbass that pulled the wrong lever, turned the wrong knob which caused a catastrophic system failure in the plant. This could all be accidental.

Or even, with all the damage that the plant has sustained, the controls malfunctioned and caused damage when somebody tried to do something.

As we have known all along Ukrainian Navy’s submarine division blew the NordStream Pipeline to bring LGBTQI+ rights to Russia. Heroyam Slava.

Where pray tell do you suppose the pond water comes from.
Do you have information the levels in the ponds can't be maintained by the on-site wells as reported?

The plant cannot operate without coolant water. It's output was being rechannelled away from Ukraine to Russian areas. It appears the Russians have ability to conduct a cold plant shutdown, but have resisted it.
You really are ill-informed and maybe should take a lap while you catch up. The plant has been in cold shutdown since last year.

2 things
1) That doesn't look like the dam in any before/after pictures I've seen (I could be wrong)
2) I saw this posted early today on Twitter with responders pointing out it was a fake. I will try to find that again.

The water is at record levels, the Ukes are on the move, and you think it’s an accident?

Hmm. That doesn't sound like much.

First rule of reading articles
1. All journalists are clueless but sometimes screw up and get something correct. It doesn't matter what political bias they have. Some with advanced degrees are just plain stupid.
2. I read the article and it was debunked months ago, not kinda sorta debunked.
