Us citizens had a couple of months if not more of a heads up to get out out of Afghanistan. It definitely could have been handled better. The military folks in charge deserve their fair share of blame too.

Well the guy who did it and possibly been the bomb maker himself was in jail a few days before, so I think it’s a safe assumption if he wasn’t released that those 13 service members would all likelihood still be alive. Maybe more maybe less if they found another guy to bomb the gates, but those 13 specifically would not have perished in the identical manner that they did.

I think it is safe to say that the Ghost of Kiev has done the job brilliantly. you just know the inevitable insurgency are going to call themselves the Ghosts of Kiev.
Also has MacGregor's appearance been discussed here? I just don't see how anyone can say those things while watching a military and its citizenry fighting as hard as they are.

Thankfully I scrolled down some to see appropriate responses to this nonsense. Biden admin fricked that up royally and there’s no argument to the contrary. Americans were left to die. Afghans who helped us were left behind with means to be found and murdered or worse. We left behind billions in equipment for the people we fought for 20 years to use. That’s the biggest black eye on America since Vietnam.
