Do you not think the Monroe Doctrine is a good thing?!?

We will do whatever the hell we want in the Eastern hemisphere and the world is better for it.

If China or Russia put bases in Mexico or Canada then we'll turn Beijing or Moscow into a parking lot and the world is better for it.

Holy shite you are the dictionary picture of an “ugly American”. And when have you ever heard a round fly over your head to talk shite about turning Beijing or Moscow into a parking lot? My suggestion is actually go fight a war or two and then try being so cavalier!

And if you think we do whatever we want in the Eastern Hemisphere. All the cartels say hello! Venezuela says hello! Followed by Peru! Throw in a couple more South American and Central American countries that China either has their claws in or trying too right now. Hell we don’t even control our Southern border and you think the being able to spout off Monroe Doctrine makes you look smart?

Yeah that is what I said was going to happen. I don’t think any of you armchair wannabe military/foreign policy strategists understand what’s going on. Ukraine is getting raped no matter what happens because of some horrible foreign policies from the last 3 administrations.. Russia is weak and not a foe. Our military, even with weak leadership like Miley, would kick their arse in about 2 weeks or as soon as we get air superiority and knock out their SAMs. The only people who win in this situation are the politicians and the MIC at the expense of innocents.

It seems as though everyone is ignoring one obvious current event. Biden's handlers sent him to Kiev to meet with Zelensky and they warned Russia about the meeting in advance. It was the perfect opportunity for Putin to strike a hammer blow while the iron was hot but he averred. Maybe he is much more bluster than confident after all. He keeps promising a tactical nuclear hit, why didn't he? Is the fact that his armies are getting their asses kicked finally soaking in?

The US notified Russia so Russia wouldn't strike Kyiv while Biden was there and kick off WW3.

Seems like a prudent warning to me. Russia didn't attempt anything, so it would appear it worked.

I don't see the big deal about this...what am I missing?

Did I say that was going to happen or was I using a hypothetical to illustrate a point? That may be a little over your head if you think I was saying it was going to happen.

Agreed, this image summarises many things about the war and the last 8 or so pages.

Reportedly from a Russian source in the comments.

The most significant news is what got glossed over due to Biden visiting Kyiv and that is his visit to Poland imo. I am curious to see what Putin comes out with later as well.

But we do on their border. Look I have been anti-Ukraine since 2016. This articles (from 2017) lays out my issue:

Predictably, I didn't see anything in that fat neckbeard's diatribe referencing the fact that Russia previously tried to install Yanukovych through a campaign of terror and attempted assassination against Yuschenko. You can't take any sort of account that ignores that context seriously. Then he admits right off the bat that Yanukovych wasn't popular and created the socioeconomic conditions for popular unrest, but quickly contradicts himself and says the unrest that brought Yanukovych down wasn't genuine, despite actually explaining concisely why it was. Did the US seize upon that unrest? Sure, but just as the Ukrainian people elected him, they made it clear they regretted that decision as the country descended into economic hell caused by Putin's crony and his corruption. We didnt lay down the foundation for that unrest - Putin and Yanukovych did. We just capitalized on it. Good for us. I legitimately don't care that we provided intelligence and supported efforts to help people throw out a Putin stooge who ran the country into the ground.

I looked into this Galen Carpenter clown and he's your typical Ron Paul tankie. Rest assured, if/when China invades Taiwan, he'll be bloviating from his corner of the internet about how we provoked China into it and China had to do it because of our threatening partnership with Taiwan.

@Faytuks · 2m NEW: Belarusian president Lukashenko says that the country needs to form paramilitary units in "every town or village" to serve as territorial defence, adding that every Belarusian man must learn how to handle weapons “to protect his family and home” if needed - AP

Belarusian Defense Minister says Belarus will form a force of up to 150,000 volunteers who will be given weapons but keep their civilian jobs, noting that its members will form a military reserve in peacetime and could act as guerrillas in case of war - AP LINK

Belarus is being dragged into this kicking and screaming. Luka's going to need an internal security force to maintain his regime if he sends the army into Ukraine.

So Luka is gonna arm the very people who don’t really support him in the first place? Interesting

by Russia, not the United States, not by NATO. It is being bombed daily by Russia. Russians are loose in the country with guns killing and raping the people who live there. Buildings and homes are being leveled by Russia.

The problem is Russia and Russia alone.
