So you admit that Putin “meddled in the Ukrainian affairs” and give him a free pass but when we help the Ukrainian people overthrow said puppet, you get your parties in a wad. Ok tankie.

You make this a black and white statement when this is all shades of gray. Put it this way. If China or Russia meddled in either Mexico or Canada’s internal affairs and then planned on signing a defensive pact with them along with creating bases would we (the United States) do something about it? Yes we would. So this is a question of proximity more than anything.

Now the next question is Russia a legit foe on a conventional military level? I think the fact that the most corrupt Government in Europe with a fairly shitty military has beaten them to a stalemate would tell us the answer. Russia is a bench player on a shifty JV team. Why not let them beat the crap out each other and spend maybe $100B total instead of $500B and fund their pension plans when we have big enough issues here in the United States. And like I said before, if this was China and Taiwan I would be 1,000% behind the effort because they are a legitimate foe.

I just skipped over about 10 pages because I figured it was pointless bickering. Is that the case or has all hell broken loose in Ukraine besides the weird old man visiting Kyiv?

He made great money as star, writer and producer of TV shows syndicated throughout Russia and Ukraine.

Tell us how Trump got to be a billionaire is about the same type of question you nitwit

this is such a stupid line of thinking

this would literally never happen. because we would literally never give canada or mexico a reason to even begin to look to china for anything. we are a stable democracy that doesnt just wake up one day and decide that newfoundland or baja has a nazi problem that we need to eliminate. we dont threaten mexico or canada with use of force to get what we want from them

that. is. the. difference

Biden went to Kyiv - one part that hasn’t been discussed is it appears he was there at the same time as the Italian delegation after they were left out of group discussion with Germany and France and we’re miffed about it.

China’s top diplomat is in Russia.

Zelensky is quoted saying if China aligns with Russia on the war it will be WWIII.

Putin’s speech tomorrow is being hyped domestically and there are signed being put up in moscow saying Russian borders end nowhere.

I think these are really the key updates. Beyond that bitching about Ohio, why the war started, PT vs OT, the usual.

It is a fraction of the Richest man in the world. But a billion is still a billion. Especially by a B list comic that only has been in power about 6 years…..give him some time and he may catch up to the POS in the Kremlin though.

Zelensky made lots of money as writer, producer and star of TV shows (notice more than one TV show). He made more money than you will ever see. So what.

Are you going to say that Trump is a billionaire for being in office? Same thing

And y’all are cheering it on from your moms basement jerking off to Reddit combat footage?

I mean…. The footage coming out of this shite is super interesting if you have any interest in warfare at all.

I don’t want “my team” pulled into WWIII because there will be no winners. But this thread will be awesome if we get pulled in though!! Y’all will have so much to post about and update!

Watching hours of raw footage of people losing their lives in combat is not great for your brain man.

Now lump all this together and understand that I firmly stand with Darth’s position. I don’t care if we support Ukraine

You misunderstood my point if you think I oppose sending help to Ukraine. On the contrary, I have no issue with support for Ukraine. I was pointing out there would be more support for sending help to Ukraine if the Biden administration did not ignore the massive problems here at home.

Think of it this way. Let’s say the front door of your house was somehow destroyed and now the front entrance to your home is wide open. But instead of going out and buying a new door and having it installed, you go over to a house on the other side of town and buy them a new door and arrange to have it installed. Then when your wife asks why you haven’t replaced your own door you try claiming the front door is fine and you don’t know what she’s talking about. The wife then is pissed. She isn’t necessarily pissed that you helped out the people across town. She’s pissed that you chose to ignore your own home but took care of theirs. That’s what’s going on here.

Husband: Biden
House: US
Front door: southern border
House across town: Ukraine
Wife: American public

Are you an idiot?
Do you not think the Monroe Doctrine is a good thing?!?

We will do whatever the hell we want in the Eastern hemisphere and the world is better for it.

If China or Russia put bases in Mexico or Canada then we'll turn Beijing or Moscow into a parking lot and the world is better for it.

Neither is creeping around the PT but you don't seem to have a problem with that.

We don't bribe hundreds of elected officials in Mexico or Canada to secretly try to control the country behind the scenes.

But we do on their border. Look I have been anti-Ukraine since 2016. This articles (from 2017) lays out my issue:
