Oh for fricks sake. Calm your tits down, snowflake. All I did was make an observation that anyone who can look at matters objectively can clearly see. I’m not criticizing the support the US is giving Ukraine. What I am doing is pointing out the problem many Americans have with the Biden administration’s lack of addressing domestic issues which leads them to object to supporting Ukraine. If you’re too ideologically blind to see this then I pity you.

Indeed there are. The Biden administration cannot do anything to change that. But Biden is playing right into their hand by his refusal to address the border here in America. His inaction on the border gives his detractors ammunition to say “see.. Biden sends billions to Ukraine while ignoring the invasion of our southern border”. And his response, or more like lack of response to Ohio is just icing on the cake.

And while there are a lot who will no matter what oppose anything Biden does, there are others who are not so ideologically driven. It’s those people who Biden can change their minds. But to do that he has to act on the problems here in America. If he did that, it would take away the talking point of his opponents while also fostering more overall support for help for Ukraine.

No, I understand perfectly well why it happens that people say, "I don't like President Biden and don't like the mistakes that he's making, so I assume that he's doing the wrong thing by supporting Ukraine."

But the fact that I can understand why people do that doesn't make the logic sound.

I am very much looking forward to voting for DeSantis next year and seeing President Biden leave the White House. I am not "ideologically blind." The blind ones are the people whose hatred for Biden leads them to say that we should let Russia conquer Ukraine.

Thanks. That was my entire point. There are many Americans who would not take exception to the support Biden is extending to Ukraine if he would just start doing something… anything about our problems here in America. It baffles me how his administration seems blind to this fact.

You are welcome.

Trump’s tag line was to make America great again. I agreed with this.

The opposite side of the coin is Joe Biden, who doesn’t seem to be in touch with the American people unless they are part of some radical group with a radical agenda.

It’s just silly to think the US government can’t handle more than one issue at a time… people who hate the president will rip him regardless.

If you hate Biden it literally doesn’t matter what he does… the optics are always bad.

Just above, I quoted a tweet from a Republican (!!!) congressman complaining that Biden isn't saving the whales. He doesn't care.

So yeah.

I can see how some don’t like the amount of money/support we are sending. However the majority of what we are sending is not cash. Majority is equipment that was bought and paid for years ago with budgets from long ago. But those assists, even if in long term storage have a value on the books. That is the bulk of what we are sending.

I've been waiting for someone to actually explain how Western support is laundering money (you know the process of getting illegal money into the banking system). No such luck!

Get the political crap off this thread. We’ve been fine without it, return to the political board.

I look forward to the day when we are talking about Biden's presidency in the past tense. It can't come soon enough.

I agree if he would show more effort/concern on domestic issues, he would have much less criticism of his Ukraine policy, but he hasn't.

The poor quality and character of the Biden administration, does not change the fact that Russia deserves to get its teeth kicked in for what it has done in Ukraine.

President Biden is in Ukraine right now. You're delusional if you think politics won't be talked about in this thread with the president quite literally just a few hundred miles from the front lines.

It is an interesting game of chess. I’m sure it was planned in opposition to Biden’s known visit to Poland, which most people seem to think results in additional aid. Given the recent questions of China providing lethal aid to Russia, this is an interesting play. China and Russia could attempt to one up our aid announcement, but that pulls China in where it seemed they didn’t want to be nor did we want them.

It's optics. President Biden flies to Kiev for a surprise visit while continuing to ignore domestic issues currently plaguing border states and the state of Ohio.
