The Soviet Union/Russia and the United States have huge departments in their governments designed to interfere in each other's internal affairs and the affairs of governments around the world.

This is not about new behavior for the Russians. The Russians have been interfering in American politics for years. WeeWee was responding to my comment about POTUS echoing what was Russian disinformation. That's not acceptable.

It's such total BS. Russia is a post-Soviet country that promoted atheism until very recently and is very secular, without any strong values.
Only 6% of Russians go to church more than once a month, compared to 28% of Americans. Ukraine is not as religious as the US, but 23% of Ukrainians attend services at least once a month, which is still several times the Russian rate.
Abortions in Russia are all paid for by the government, and the Russian abortion rate is almost five times the rate in the US. In fact, Russia has the highest abortion rate of any country in the world.
Russia's abortion rate is 53.7 per 1000 women, which is far more than the second country, Vietnam, which has a rate of 35.2.
The rate in the US is 11.4, and the rate in Ukraine is 14.89.
To claim that "Russia is a Christian country with traditional values" is just such a filthy and evil lie.

I meant to mention that. It is so consistent in all the open-area battle footage and seems surreal and very 1917. It is a graphic testament to the lack of Russian redleg accuracy. Just looking at the pock-marked land it is hard to imagine there was a target within 200m of 90% of those splashdowns. The Russian Kings of Battle have never traded in their sledgehammer for a scalpel.
In lots of the Russian phone intercepts (which I don't post since I am still dubious of their authenticity but if I had to bet I would put my money on real) a common theme is how their artillery can't hit shite and the Ukes hit exactly what they are shooting at.

One of the recent Solovyov interviews had an older guy on who was very clear he was an atheist "I am an old soviet person".

There are a lot of moslems in Russia and they aren't Christian. The state media really combines the two as if they were one when a Chechen is interviewed and the Allahu Akbar comes out.

At the time Trump said he believed Putin over the intelligence community the MSM was pushing out disinformation and running stories about new "leaks" almost daily. The MSM was trying to make it look like Trump was Putin's puppet and only elected because of Russian interference. The Russians "hacked" the Hillary Clinton campaign's servers because John Podesta's username was his publicly known email address and his password was password. When you put Trump's statements into context of what was going on at the time he said them then choosing Russian bullshite over the bullshite the American intelligence community was feeding him was the least crappy of two crappy options.
Trump provided lethal aid to Ukraine, ramped up military training in Ukraine (which is a factor that everyone forgets and is the reason why the Ukrainian troops are competent for the most part) and increased sanctions on Russia during his Presidency. Obama and Biden hit the reset button with Russia and provided Ukraine with old sleeping bags with holes in them, HUMVEE's with dry rotten tires and engines that would not run, and weak sanctions during the Obama-Biden terms. Biden waived sanctions on Nord Stream 2 and was scaling back military training in Ukraine until Russia started moving troops to the borders of Ukraine last fall. Your original post about Trump kissing Putin's arse is just down right false. If you really want to try and say that any of the US Presidents during Putin's 20 or so years in power have kissed Putin's arse than you should point the finger at Obama and Biden before you point it at Trump because you will find a lot more of Putin's skid marks on their faces than you will on Trump's.
