I'm seeing reports that Denmark will allow "volunteers" to join Ukranians in the fight. I'm looking for something official on it. That would be very interesting.

I thought he’d invade Eastern Ukraine and stop there like he did with Crimea, but didn’t dream he would invade Kiev. It’s just insane to me.
If anyone wants it I could do what would be a ridiculously long post explaining the real strategic reasons Putin wants Ukraine and it has nothing to do with the people and much less to do with NATO and having a more defensible position of the European plains than Putin and the MSM have portrayed it. It is about oil (gas) and water, go figure.
Crimea was just the first calculated step toward taking all of Ukraine. That move caused the big gas companies to pull out of Ukraine and Crimea owned a BIG portion of what was Ukraine's offshore oil and gas fields. Ukraine blocked the canal to Crimea which has crippled Crimea. Donbas, Luhansk, and especially Crimea were his setup for taking Ukraine.
This is the same strategy Putin used to take Georgia using the areas of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Moldova is next after Ukraine and he will be using Transnistria in that coming conflict.

Interesting that blowing that dam was one if the earlier goals for Russian troops. I think they blew it yesterday.

I was surprised at how small it was.

This could escalate really quickly.

Brett Baier on Fox is in front of a map of Ukraine updating the situation. He says Russian forces have broke out of Crimea and are heading for Kiev from the south. Kiev itself is already surrounded. Kharkov still has not fallen though.
The military goal has been to link the Luhansk and Donetsk with Crimea. The push West wouldn't really begin until they achieved that goal.

These “talks” tomorrow are a bit more critical than ppl think

Kiev is a long way from Crimea though. It’d surely take weeks for ground forces to reach there, right?

Slava Z had chatter this morning that Russians were commencing “mop up” operations in Kharkov after a large Ukrainian garrison surrendered.
It’s mostly Russian propaganda though so take it with a grain of salt.

Ummm, that’s a broad statement. Does he mean something like the Tibetan genocide or the Holocaust? Big difference between those two.

Depends on what forces the Ukrainians have throw in their path to slow them down.

I suspect it is a general ploy by Ukraine to rally support. It is a heavy allegation that would need intelligence support to gain traction. Just another move by Ukraine to help garner support.

I’m all ears, genuinely.
