Novaya Kaxovka is south of the front line so means Yougayne operating in artillery range probably south of Melovoe.

So much for info coming from Tucker the Sucker and Col MacGregor (ret) about no natural gas for winter.

TTF is now less than 1/2 the price as before Nordstream incidents and storage is 97% full ahead of winter. It was supposed to be 95% a week from now. Germany's FSRU's still expected to be in operation by end of the year.

FWIW the US exported more LNG March through May than during the Summer. We are at last year's export levels.

Russia is preparing to defend Kherson and there are no signs that Russian forces are fleeing the city, Ukraine's intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov says. "They're bringing new military units there and preparing the city streets for defence"

But you left out that they are taking out the good soldiers and just putting bodies in. It may work but Russia will suffer more for it regardless by putting untrained men right at the front

The military campaign in Ukraine’s south has become the main focus of Kyiv’s forces as Russia withdraws elite troops from Kherson and brings in sizable reinforcements largely comprising mobilized soldiers, Western and Ukrainian officials say.

Hate to tell you Ivan but everywhere in the Kherson area is in range either with HIMARS or M777 with Excalibur shells. I love how the Russians make it out to be they are the big humanitarians in this after what they have done to every city and village they have set foot in. It’s comical at this point.

The weather in the Kherson area has been cloudy, and it's supposed to rain tomorrow and Wednesday. After that, the forecast for the next eight days is partly cloudy, with a low chance of a shower each day.

So, I wouldn't expect the intensity of the fight there to pick back up until Thursday or later. If Ukraine is really going to take Kherson by winter, then they are probably planning another significant attack at the end of this week, or not long after that.

The Ukrainian military has liberated more than 90 settlements in the Kherson region from the Russian army.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said this in a post on the messaging app Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Kherson region, the Southern Defense Forces liberated more than 90 settlements that are home to more than 12,000 people live," the report said.

The ministry added that stabilization measures were being carried out in liberated villages.

Earlier reports said that as of October 21, Ukrainian forces liberated 88 settlements in the Kherson region from Russian invaders.

You need mental help.

Will you be on the front lines in the march to Moscow?

No...then don't sit here and support sending other people's children to fight Russia in a war that is not our concern.

while my stance has always been....if its not so important that you are willing to have your kid die for the cause....then dont send other peoples children to die, i assume similar to your stance.....

pretty sure CitizenK wasnt advocating that. he was responding to the video of russian official talking about how they would start killing americans etc

if that is the case....then yes it may be so important that we are willign to go to war, not over ukraine, but if they start attacking us, take the gloves off

as far as marching to moscow easier than baghdad, i dunno about that but we would make the whole shock and awe campaign look like childs play and we would kill tens of thousand russian troops within 2 weeks of kicking off any campaign.

now personally, similar to things people say on both sides, i just ignore the bluster coming from Russia. They are not going to attack america nor nato.

but on another note i am encouraged that we are atleast having phone conversations with russia now. hoping this leads to an off ramp eventually.

i mean personally i could give two fricks how many russians or ukrainians die, but i dont want to fund this shite forever. At same time, i also support ukraine and also support their right to not want to give up territory either.

I’m for nobody dying, but I didn’t make that decision, Putin did.

If the war was over today, and there was an agreement and all parties honored the agreement, I would be happy.

In the end though Russia needs to know tgst they need to live in peace and they need to quit invading their neighbors.

Russia had evacuated all officers and medics across the river from Bersyslav leaving just inexperienced conscripts to hold the line in Kherson. That right there is all you need to know about the Russian army and how much they care about their own people, much less Ukrainians. American officers or medics would never leave their men to be chopped to pieces to save their own asses. shite is about to get ugly down south.

(Bloomberg) -- Diesel demand is surging in the US while supplies remain at the lowest seasonal level ever, according to government data released Wednesday.

quote:

The shortage of the fuel used for heating and trucking is a key worry for the Biden administration heading into winter -- and ahead of the November election. National Economic Council Director Brian Deese told Bloomberg TV Wednesday that that diesel inventories are “unacceptably low” and “all options are on the table” to build supplies and reduce retail prices.

The US is has just 25 days of diesel supply, the lowest since 2008, according to the Energy Information Administration. At the same time, the four-week rolling average of distillates supplied, a proxy for demand, rose to its highest seasonal level since 2007. While weekly demand dipped slightly, it’s still at highest point in two years amid higher trucking, farming and heating use.

quote:

Nationally, stockpiles have drained as refiners entered maintenance season and as Russia’s war in Ukraine tightened global supplies and limited imports. Market backwardation -- where prompt deliveries are priced at a premium over future deliveries -- has made building inventory extremely costly, feeding into a vicious cycle of tight supplies and price spikes.

quote:

In New England, where more people burn fuel for heating than anywhere else in the country, stockpiles are less than a third of typical levels for this time of year.

Some relief is on the way. At least two vessels carrying around 1 million barrels of diesel are due to arrive in New York after being diverted from their original destinations in Europe. Delta Air Line’s Trainer refinery in Pennsylvania is also returning from seasonal maintenance, which will increase regional diesel production.

Need some help. CitizenK, I thought this particular reserve was well stocked currently? Seems like some decline is explained by maintenance season, I’ve learned enough on this site to know that’s actually a thing. Looks like a shipment to Europe has been diverted to New England to help, but this goes back to my original criticism of we’re supposedly on a war footing with regards to energy but we’ve got 25 days of diesel which our military equipment runs on.

Included the chart from the article as reference that while the headline is it’s it’s lowest in x number of years, getting down to these levels doesn’t appear completely abnormal. What is decently abnormal is the cost associated with rebuilding any reserves of diesel burn it’s price growth related to both supply disruption and demand increase.

Still makes no sense “we’re on a war footing” and this is the state. Not skyscreaming and legitimately looking for some clarity from CitizenK or anyone else who would know, but this just doesn’t make sense to me.
