Russian sources continued to claim that Russian forces are consolidating limited regained positions in northeastern Kharkiv Oblast on October 20 despite Ukrainian reports that Ukraine has liberated all but 1.8% of Kharkiv Oblast.
Russian sources indicated that Ukrainian troops have advanced in northern Kherson Oblast as Ukrainian forces continued their interdiction campaign.
Russian forces continued to conduct ground assaults in Donetsk Oblast but Russian sources contradicted their own claims on control of Bakhmut. Russian forces are likely continuing to falsify claims of advances in the Bakhmut area to portray themselves as making gains in at least one sector amid continuing losses in northeast and southern Ukraine.
Russian regional governments and the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) continue to blame each other for military administrative failures.

Before someone takes credit for October escalation, it's just the blue angels in town practicing. Apparently not a bad day for a barge ride across town, right by the navy base.
Damn, hope that's next year's team. They need to tighten that up.

@Faytuks Rybar has decided "against the backdrop of rumors about the imminent offensive of the RF Armed Forces from Belarus" to regularly inform about the events taking place there
So what is Rybar reporting in its first update?
??
The Ukrainian command continues to strengthen the grouping of troops in the northern regions of the country. Reinforcements are being transferred to the regions bordering Belarus..
...and fortifications are being built in the Kharkiv region. A grouping has been created in the Kharkov sector, which should prevent Russian troops from resuming the offensive against the regional center...
..Military personnel of the engineering units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are building fortifications at the Okop-Veterinary line, as well as in Lukyantsy. Territorial defense detachments are equiping firing positions & reconnaissance groups are active in the border areas...
...Observation posts are equipped in the vicinity of Volchansk and Ternovaya in Kharkiv. Artillery crews are deployed in the area of Borshcheva, Liptsov, Vesely. Two 155-mm Bogdan self-propelled artillery mounts were transferred to Pobeda...
...In the Chernihiv sector, Ukrainian formations are preparing for a possible offensive by the RF Armed Forces. In the area of ????the settlements of Seredina-Buda and Gremyach, sabotage groups are equipped with SPG-9 anti-tank grenade launchers...
...To the south of Seredina-Buda, 155-mm artillery pieces have been placed. Several detachments of English-speaking mercenaries, mostly US citizens, have been deployed to the area of ??the Desna combined-arms training ground...
...On the Kyiv front, Ukrainian formations are patrolling in the vicinity of the settlements of Rudnya-Ilyinetskaya and Rudka. Minefields are being placed on probable offensive routes of the united group of troops from Belarus...
...The Ukrainian command notes the high activity of the use of various types of UAVs by Russian military personnel. Due to the threat of attacks on rear facilities, the command post of the Ukrainian Air Force was moved to Bushevo...
Rest of the information can be read below. I suspect that Rybar will start to post regular updates on the **northern front**. A ominous sign even if they claim that it's only due to rumours.

Ukraine is ready this time and Russia’s best units are spent. The Ukrainians don’t even need western weapons to take out the Russian T62s and T55s. The thousands of cold war era RPGs will work just fine against them. Another offensive from Belarus will be a disaster for Russia.

Yeah they can definitely save those Javelins and NLAWs against the antiques Russia is rolling out. Just use a Molotov cocktail. We sent them a shitload of AT-4s too that would make short work of a T-62.

You still gotta get pretty close to use the AT-4. I’d be using Javelins until I ran out of those frickers before I charged with a couple hundred meters of a tank.

I don’t think Belarus doesn’t shite in this mess but try to draw troops away from front in a false invasion threat. if they went to war in this their regime may fall

There is not an infinite amount of Javelins though they need to be used wisely. If they can destroy something without using them they need to do everything they can to do that. They need the Javelins for the T-90s and more modern tanks.

Ukraine took out a S-400 air defense system today, Russia’s newest and best system.

That’s all well and good. Sneaking up tanks with AT-4 is gonna bring a lot of casualties for the poor bastards that get stuck doing it.

They are getting TOWs with the HUMVEEs
Posted on 10/20/22 at 11:52 pm to CitizenK
The smartest thing they did was send them a couple thousand M2 .50 cal machine guns. Weapon has been around forever but it stands the test of time. They can destroy infantry and lightly armored vehicles with those without using up an anti-tank round.

The United States went from the world's largest creditor to the world's largest debtor during Reagan's 2 terms......His administration was an abject failure and Republican attempts to portray him as some sort of limited government icon are abject lies.
I have only a vague personal memory of Eisenhower, a clear one of JFK, and every president since. Just for starters, Reagan brought us out of a long recession, enacted policies that destroyed the Soviet Union, and ended the general malaise infecting the country at the beginning of his term.
If his administration was an abject failure, I'd hate to see your definition of a successful one.
While I'm here, Kudos to the informed, knowledgeable and pragmatic contributors making this thread an excellent daily read for me and many others.
