USA reevaluating relationship with Saudi Arabia based on OPEC+ cooperation with Russia. LINK

President Joe Biden’s options for re-evaluating US-Saudi relations include “changes to our approach to security assistance to Saudi Arabia,” White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said.
Sullivan declined to elaborate in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, saying Biden would take his time, in part to consult with US lawmakers when they return after the November midterm elections.
An output cut by the OPEC+ group of oil-producing countries, which includes Saudi Arabia and Russia, has led to an unusual public clash between the Biden administration and Saudi leaders while prompting calls in Congress to cut off US arms sales to the kingdom.
“The president isn’t going to act precipitously,” Sullivan said. Biden will “take his time to consult with members of both parties, and also to have an opportunity for Congress to return so that he can sit with them in person and work through the options,” he said.
“Those options include changes to our approach to security assistance to Saudi Arabia but I’m not going to get ahead of the president,” Sullivan said.
Biden told CNN last week that “there’s going to be some consequences” for Saudi Arabia and “what they’ve done with Russia.”
Biden “has no plans” to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the Group of 20 summit next month in Indonesia, Sullivan said when asked about the possibility of a meeting.

Annnnnd oil prices rise further. Not being really critical here, just realizing that’s what’s going to happen. I don’t know what the immediate answer is, but agree reliance on the Saudis is a problem. Closest I’ve got is a full court press on getting O&G out of the ground and refined here ASAP. Learned a lot from the oil baws on this site so I know that’s not something to be achieved in 6 months, but it can’t ever be achieved if we don’t start.

You never answer this question but I’ll beg you to answer it once again. I know you won’t though because you know you don’t have an answer that isn’t complete bullshite and a lie. Why do you call Ukraine terrorists when it was Russia that invaded a sovereign country and brought war to seize their lands while committing war crimes all along the way in places like Bucha and Mariupol. Please explain I’m on pins and needles waiting for your response. Thanks.

I thought about asking that question, and then I remembered that he's a troll, and realized that was my answer

Belgorod airport damaged in strikes this morning

October 6th, 2022, pass of Mezhdunarodny Belgorod Airport (50.644283, 36.581383). It reveals 7x Russian Air Force Mi-8/17 helicopters present.
there was no evidence that I found of facilities hastily constructed to accommodate a large influx of people, nor did I see any large transport aircraft that might hint toward perhaps a "round the clock" ferrying of troops.
while it was not the focus of my initial request, there was a vehicle and tracks that may be associated with the SAM battery we saw in the original video at 50.650260, 36.575055, perhaps even a TEL itself.
Evidence of HARMs being used in the #Belgorod attack. Would strongly suggest this was an air attack by Ukrainian Air Force.
Should also note the direction the SAMs launch off towards: what looks to be southeast. This is a slightly different direction for an attack to come from and would support an attack launched by fighter/bomber aircraft.

Somewhat off topic but did you know that a new oil refinery hasn’t been built in the USA since 1977? Marathon Garyville, LA. Environmental regs make it prohibitively expensive to do so. Many don’t know this.

I’m still waiting for your response……just admit you’re full of shite then if you can’t answer it. Just admit as long as it’s mother Russia doing the invading then it’s ok and acceptable but if the Ukrainians fight back and actually beat back the Russians which is what they have done then they are terrorists. Is that about the jist of it Ivan?

The Serbian Government has just announced the closure of its Embassy in the Ukrainian Capital of Kyiv in order to insure the “Security of its Officials”.
This comes around 48 hours after Serbia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and now also China have ordered their Citizens to leave Ukraine Immediately.

This gives me more pause than the troop build up honestly, but then again why wouldn't a government tell their citizens to get out of a war zone
A number of Russian [and later, Ukrainian] media have spread false information about the temporary closure of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ukraine.

Ukraine has imposed a media blackout on the Kherson direction, which is usually the prelude to a big push.

In other news, the poliboard is explicitly pulling for Russia and China now.

They are so caught up in all these conspiracies that they wind up pulling against the US.

He hasn't answered, but the standard troll reply is to pretend that Ukraine has terrorized the people of Donetsk and Luhansk since Russia conquered those cities in 2014.
That war never really ended, and there have been occasional civilian injuries and deaths, so that obviously means that Ukrainians are terrorists.

The more worrying sign would be Russia closing embassies in NATO countries, which would be a strong sign that Russia is planning something big.

Yup, he spent 3 months last spring setting up commercial vehicles in Kazakhstan for Russian money to get the hell out of Russia for his oligarch employer. With a partner was negotiating exclusive territory of North America for their technology in 2015. Company in Houston so that Putin couldn't get his greasy hands on it AND because if in Russia everyone would think it a scam.
Now go reroof some houses or something

There have been major expansions the last 15 years. Marathon in Garyville is at least 10X larger than then.
There was a new refinery built in Galveston in 2019-2020. There were refineries built in ND while Obama was in office, but since then converted to renewable diesel.
YOu don't know what you think you do troll boy
When was the last new refinery built in Russia other than a bunch of small topping units built in Houston and shipped to Russia in the 1990's?

My clients are all the largest financial institutions in the USA. I don't deal with scrub homeowners that are fighting their shitty insurance company.
BTW, the average profit on a reroof is about $6K. Not sure how you think that would be an insult to someone that does roofing but you do you.

What does biggest financial institutions mean? You do tilt wall construction or homebuilding? Though not a contractor myself, I was a project manager for a top five industrial niche contractor at one time. I hire industrial EPC firms these days when need be.

Russian forces hold the line in Kherson as Ukraine counterstrikes
HomepageEurope
Russia says its forces have battled oncoming Ukraine troops to a standstill in the country’s south and inflicted “significant losses”.
Russian soldiers held their positions during “fierce fighting” in the Kherson region and Ukrainian troops were also targeted in the eastern region of Donetsk, Russia’s defence ministry said on Sunday.
“The enemy made attempts to break through the defence of the Russian troops in the areas of Koshara and Pyatykhatky in the Kherson region with forces of up to three battalions, including one tank battalion,” chief defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
“The Russian army units held their positions in fierce battles, inflicting significant losses on the enemy,” he said.
Al Jazeera could not independently verify the battlefield reports.
