What does biggest financial institutions mean

Just what it says. Mr Cooper, Wells Fargo, Suntrust, Chase, etc and several hedge funds. I operate in 14 states. I told yall the other day I am not just some local GC. I was a spec home builder prior to the 2008 crash and did some hurricane repair last year for several Realtor friends of mine and I did help a few people from the OT with their houses both after Laura/Delta and Ida but that was just something of being friendly because they were getting ripped off by insurance and other GCs. I do not deal with the general public that wants to make their houses look like something they saw on HGTV. Too much of a PITA for too little margin.

I have posted several times what I do. I manage REO inventory for banks and try to help them convey the properties to HUD. For hedge funds, we manage the maintenance and repairs on their rental inventories in a few states. That's a new side of the business. I also used to do retail facilities maintenance but that got too competitive during Covid with so many offices and businesses shutting down.

Looks like the Kherson offensive is failing is coming from the Russian MOD which should be taken with a huge grain of salt

If anything, the RU mods have been pretty honest as they are the only side that "also" admits their failings accurately.

Looks like Russia's claims of major counteroffensive by Ukraine was a single recon unit yesterday.

As far as the claim made by the Russian troll with bad info, that major offensive towards Melitipol was just Ukraine taking out air missile batteries at Tokmak and Berdyansk on the Sea of Azov with HARMS from Uke jets

Rybar has been by far the most accurate and still in operation.

Rybar has changed a good bit since a week ago, now pushing Russian propaganda more than reality like yesterday's supposed Ukrainian offensive that was stopped with massive losses. Never happened

The Russian MOD (there is only one) has been full of propaganda as one would expect, not something you can even come close to taking as accurate, just another piece in the puzzle. Their Milbloggers have been much more realistic and somewhat accurate with expected spin (over the last ~2 months) though this may be changing if the crackdown is accurate.

Look, no shame in that and definitely good money, but commercial/spec home GC's really have no grasp of industrial work. I was forced to work with some back in the day. Completely different game.

Have you tried to build any chemical plants in Russia. I had a few unsuccessful proposals but only because geopolitics changed.

I never touched industrial though I was involved years back with a very large local firm on one that ended up getting axed due to LA politics. Ever since then I decided to do one thing and do it well. Industrial is too much red tape. We lobbied for a few years working on that project and I personally lost in the six figures and tons of time due to my traveling and other misc expenses. That was just on the promise that I would be involved once it got off the ground.

If I named the other GC that worked on it you would 100 percent know who it is. He went one way and I went the other. Both of us are successful but he kept pursuing commercial and industrial. I found a niche and grew it.

The entire reason i got involved GTL (natural gas to syncrude) becaus in Russia there are lots of oil wells with associated natural gas but not enough to justify building pipelines for so it is flared off. The first projects I was involved in was brokering to Russia for Ukrainian investors after a friend who was a scholar for Heritage Foundation asked me if I knew anything about the technology. His father was a Soviet geologist who discovered a number of small gas fields which would only be viable with modular GTL units, with a hydrocracker backend to make mainly diesel for local use then send the rest via truck to rail for sale as syncrude. Russia's adventures of 2014 killed all of that.

After the oil/nat gas price collapse of 2014, a group in Houston (they turned out to be more flim flam scam artists) called my partner, in GTL, and I in to see if we could come up with modular units mainly for Colorado natural gas fields to turn gas into liquid which was still brought higher income. I found that a Russian company had the most promising technology for modular units in container frames, but it was only proven at the lab and small pilot plant with 3rd party certification in Russia. That doesn't work for anyone who is buying, especially in Russia where just about everything is fraudulent. So the company is in Houston because if a demonstration plant was in the USA it would be more believable than if anywhere else, plus Houston is still the center of the world for refining/chemical processes.

I got to be fairly close to the acting CEO who is now acting CEO again. He is really the money man connection for the Oligarch who owns it. I got a far better idea, from him, about how things work in Russia, including costs and profit margins for crude oil production and a lot of other things. Fearing Putin's own FSB, he is VERY guarded in how he says anything about Putin and Russia, but the disgust in his voice towards especially Putin has always been obvious. He's like me in that Putin needs to stop all this bullcrap and let us all make money. And yes he said that while he was in Kazakhstan last Spring. He was supposed to be there just a month and wanted to get back home to his wife in Houston.

So now tell me about all your experience with Russia and Russians besides the twatwads in the Politard Forum.

So speaking to a Russian businessman is what makes you an expert on the war?

That's your inside source? Sounds a little like the rant during a coaching search.

Also, I have spoken to the former poster LSURussian several times off the board. It is well known he had business dealings in Russia. Guess that makes me an expert as well.

Also, a good friend of mine lived in Ukraine and recently married a girl from there. Guess that makes me an expert on Ukraine as well.

Looks like Belarus is getting ready to get off the sidelines and enter the conflict as Russia prepares for another diversion towards Kyiv. I wonder if this diversion will be as successful as the last diversion.

Wonderful. Tell Buzzy hello if you ever see him. We were teammates back in the day. I do know a little about Lake Chuck having grown up there. Is your friend named Mike?

Big difference in our fields.
