I just wish he and other billionaires would shut up more often if they are speaking outside their field. There is a reason we have specialization of labor. They often make the information landscape way worse because when using social media, they are about as thoughtful as any average person, which means they aren't, but more people listen to what they say.

Hey Russia here's a thought. Instead of wasting your few remaining S300 missiles on fleeing civilians and sleeping children, Why don't you try aiming at actual military targets that are trying to kill you.
Although given the fact that they shot down an airliner a few years ago for shits and giggles maybe aiming at innocents is all you're really good for.

Then he goes on to talk about how much money he lost by donating Starlink to Ukraine. People who give and then throw it in your face are always annoying.

Russians are going full mask off with terrorism today. Just blew a dam allegedly in Donetsk according to Ukraine. 3900 people potentially affected

This is an attempt to slow UA movement.

Regretfully I have not been closely following developments and had some questions for the folks here, if you would.
1.) What is the most likely end scenario in this conflict?
2.) Will Europe have a major energy crisis this winter?
3.) Is either side gaining momentum in the fight currently?
Thank you in advance.

1) Russia losing. Whether they lose crimea is TBD but they’re definitely gonna lose the breakaway areas.
2) some countries will cause they can’t plan anything more complex than a PTA meeting. That’s on them though, they had time.
3) Ukraine lol, where have you been? That’s like asking “who has the momentum” in the fourth quarter when one team is up 35-9

Anyone that says they know is blowing smoke.

2.) Will Europe have a major energy crisis this winter?
Some countries will be worse than others but it isn't going to be catastrophic like some have forecast. There was too much time to prepare.

Over the last month or so it has been all Ukraine. Russia is currently on the back foot.

They’ve had over 6 months to evacuate.
I wish the civilians would get out ASAP so that Ukraine can just rain missiles down on Kherson without worrying about anything but winning the war.

Thank you. Just a couple more.
1.) How likely is it that NATO is drawn into the conflict thru formal means?
2.) What is general expectation of how long it will be until a resolution to the conflict is reached?

This question is a follow up to a question that can't be answered.

1) No one knows, at this point, it is looking possible that Ukraine could expel Russia from its borders (not inclusive of Crimea which is a whole different beast). At this point however it ends will not be what Russia hoped to achieve at the start.
2) Maybe, this will partially depend on how cold/long the winter is.
3) As of today Ukraine has all of the initiative. Russia is going backward on two of the three major fronts and just maintaining the status quo on the third

1) Unlikely unless Russia pops a nuke, then no one knows where it will end up.
2) Unknown at this time...very few people thought it would last this long.

His cries that Twitter lied about bot info when he was trying to get out of the deal meant frick all from the moment he did that.

The only dams there are for cooling water ponds for the power plant. 3900 was before any evacuated, pre conflict population.
Edit: Also a "tailing" type pond for the ash created by the coal fired power plant

LINK Ukraine success is causing infighting
Kirill Stremousov, Russian appointed leader in Kherson , suggests Defense Minster Shoigu shoot himself . Chechen leader Kadyrov & head of Wagner have also trashed Kremiln Military brass. Not quite directed at Putin yet , but this seems unusual to criticize high ranking officers in Russia. How long can they scapegoat High Ranking Officers before its directed at Putin?

NEW - Ukraine's Zelensky calls on NATO to launch "preemptive strikes" against Russia to "eliminate the possibility" of a Russian nuclear strike.
I’m gonna have to disagree with Zelensky on this. A preemptive NATO strike on Russia would not be a good idea.

It's quite possibly the dumbest thing anyone has ever proposed.

He had to know that was a non-starter before he ever said it which makes me wonder why he said it.
