That drone camera operator did a heck of a job tracking the SU.
It got the twin chutes right?
Yes it catches them ejecting around 13 seconds into the video and the parachutes stay in the bottom right of the screen for the rest of the video.

I think the cheapest most effective weapon Ukraine could drop on Russian soldiers looks like this:

That map looks oddly familiar.
As the football coach says, if you got a play that works, keep running it until they show they can stop it.

This is the most recent from War Mapper but it isn't up to date because at this scale Ukraine is moving fairly quickly.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu’s declarations about which categories of Russian males will be exempted from partial mobilization may not reflect Russian President Vladimir Putin’s intentions or orders
quote:
Responsibility for the partial mobilization appears to be divided and complex, possibly contributing to confusion, disorganization, and violations of Shoigu’s commitments regarding exemptions.
quote:
The military commissars are generally acting as if they had received orders to prioritize getting bodies to training centers over adhering to Shoigu’s guidelines, and the seemingly confused chains of responsibility for executing the mobilization decree may be responsible for the divergence between Shoigu’s statements and commissars’ actions.

Positions held by senior Russian military leadership are continuing to change hands, suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin is continuing to see systemic problems as the result of the personal failings of senior subordinates.

Russian forces may be preparing to forcibly mobilize Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) to fight for Russia, which would constitute a violation of the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War.

Key Takeaways
Local military commissars are carrying out mobilization orders in a way that suggests a possible disconnect between Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu’s guidelines for partial mobilization and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s demands for haste.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely continuing to address systemic issues in Russian senior command by replacing individual senior subordinates.
Russia may be preparing to forcibly mobilize Ukrainian prisoners of war in what may constitute a violation of the Geneva Convention on Prisoners of War.
Ukrainian forces likely continued to make gains along the Kharkiv-Luhansk Oblast border and northwest of Lyman.
Ukrainian military officials indicated that the continued Ukrainian interdiction campaign in southern Ukraine is degrading Russian combat capabilities.
Russian sources identified three locations where Ukrainian troops conducted ground operations in Kherson Oblast- northern Kherson Oblast, western Kherson Oblast near the Inhulets River, and northwest of Kherson City near the Mykolaiv-Kherson Oblast border.
Russian forces conducted ground attacks around Bakhmut, Donetsk City, and in western Donetsk Oblast.
Russian authorities continue to coerce residents of occupied Ukrainian territory into voting in sham referenda.

Quite interesting what he reported about laws passed in July and just now being revealed. This is an industrial mobilization too. I wonder how that is going to work out for Russians which have had some freedom since fall of the Soviet Union.

Looks like something from Vietnam, the only thing Russia has going for them is lots of men that will die for Mother Russia. Those men probably don’t want to die for Mother Russia but history seems to find away to repeat itself.

UPDATE ON UKRAINE 25 September 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
On 21 September 2022, high-profile Russian nationalist Duma member Aleksandr Khinstein called for the partial mobilisation of Russia's military to be extended to the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia).
Rosgvardia units have played an important role in both combat and rear-area security in Ukraine and are currently facilitating accession referendums in occupied areas. The force is intended for use in domestic security roles, to ensure the continuity of Putin's regime. It was particularly ill-prepared for the intense fighting it has experienced in Ukraine.
With a requirement to quell growing domestic dissent in Russia, as well as operational taskings in Ukraine, Rosgvardia is highly likely under particular strain. There is a realistic possibility that mobilisation will be used to reinforce Rosgvardia units with additional manpower.

A rusty AKM is still a helluva lot better than the WW2 Mosin Nagant rifles that some of the DPR guys were issued.

Considering that ethnic Russians make up less than 5% and Islam is over 80%, I'm going to take a wild guess that being killed demonstrating gets one either 72 virgins or 36 pearly boys, thus desirable

@Faytuks Breaking: A russian nuclear strike against Ukraine would be unlikely to spark a retaliation in kind but would instead trigger "conventional military" responses from western states, two western officials tell Financial times
Western capitals are making contingency plans should Vladimir Putin take steps towards acting on his threats of nuclear attacks against Ukraine and are sending private warnings to the Kremlin about possible consequences, according to western officials.

If Putin were ever stupid enough to use battlefield nukes then NATO would have no choice but to intervene. If that happens a million new Russian cannon fodder with rusted out AKs won’t make a damn bit of difference. Western air support alone would wipe out any Russian resistance in Ukraine, they wouldn’t even have to put an actual boot on the ground. Putin is crazy but he’s not that crazy. He knows he doesn’t want that fire.
