No, but I like maintaining that image in my head canon.

WAR ON CITIES: At 0430 local, 13 RU aircraft attacked the UKR Black Sea resort of Zatoka. A first wave of Su-35 and Su-30 fighter bombers was followed 30 minutes later by a second strike. Ten Tu-22M strategic bombers fired sixteen Kh-22 cruise missiles-- obliterating the town.

Biden's economic reporting to the US public is in a similar vein. Point out anything marginally positive and ignore the rest.

Crooked politicians do what crooked politicians do, regardless of the country.

Off topic but humorous. When I was young and not so informed on processes, and involved with shipping, I was involved with an April Fool prank.

Conoco Shipping had an office in Houston handling its lightering operation in the days of fleets of supertankers plying the 7 seas. Conoco had a small fleet of supertankers picking up oil in Libya and sailing for the US Gulf off Freeport where they were lightered in approx 400,000 bbl shipments most of which went to Seaway Terminal, Freeport and Lake Charles. There was one Brit named Peter who did not know about April Fool. The Venture Oklahoma had just finished discharging in Lake Chuck so the No. 2 in office, Sue, called me and asked me to call the ship's handler, the Brit, and tell him that the ship had gone off course and had went aground hitting a capped oil well.

I called Peter and told him the news but that everyone was safe and though the bottom was ripped out of the ship, it was resting on the bottom in just 25 or so feet of water but there was a huge oil spill developing from the well.

Peter rushed into Dave's office, his boss, who said I already know, with a smile. Peter knew that he had been had. He called me fuming about how he was going to get me back but I would never know when. I found out later from Sue what happened in Dave's office and also that tbe entire staff burst into laughter after Peter left Dave's office.

Illia Ponomarenko on Twitter
@IAPonomarenko

Reportedly, we have another heavy Ukrainian strike upon the Antonivsky Bridge, the key Russian supply line in occupied Kherson.
This begins to look A LOT like the thing everyone is expecting.

Several other twitter accounts have similar reports.

Does anyone know if many arms and supply shipments are coming up from Romania?

My 3 minute map recon tells me that if Zatoka is taken or the bridge there destroyed then Ukraine will be cutoff from all supply routes from the south.

The US is more like 2 miles from Russia at its closest point, but I'm guessing you forgot Alaska is pretty damn close in general and not 6000 miles away

What these clueless isolationist people don't get that from its beginning the USA has been about its business interests even overseas with trade. Being an isolationist nation does not bode well for the US economy. Expenditures in Ukraine are definitely offset by influence in trade globally.

I doubt that route was used at all. It is far to exposed to air strikes and beforehand bombardment from the sea. it likely is where a few missiles were stationed.

It’s a much shorter route to the Kherson front. I really have no idea if they were using it though.

Most supplies come through Poland anyway but yes that could have been a reason why they hit a resort town or maybe they were just being Russians doing Russian things and terror bombing. We really don’t know but there are many routes of entry to Ukraine between Poland, Slovakia, Moldova and Romania who all aren’t Russian supporters. I think more than anything it was a scare tactic to try to make them afraid of their air power but they chose a place where they didn’t think there would be significant air defense coverage like Odesa would have. The only problem is the secret is already out that Russia’s Air Force is a paper tiger 3rd rate Air Force that doesn’t scare anyone.

Yeah never in history was any similar write up done for Churchill or FDR or any other wartime state leader
