I once heard him say this, no shite.

"I don't eat no tame duck".

He said this when the subject of waterfowl on a restaurant menu came up.

Lana Del Ray has serious, and I mean serious self esteem problems.

That's great!

Now tell me who she is so I can determine my level of not giving a shite.

She's an extremely famous musician and actually has some enjoyable songs. I'm shocked that anyone doesn't know who she is tbh. Even if that's not your type of music

I legitimately have never heard of. Maybe it's an indictment on me, but just being honest.

It's definitely an indictment on anyone 18-55 who hasn't heard of her.

As for hypergamy, a relationship where the woman dates down has very little statistical chance of succeeding. So props to both of them so far. It just means she likely values higher non- material principles and he is not insecure.

They have stats on this?

All kind of weird human psychology in these paragraphs below:

quote:

a study from the University of Chicago reveals that divorce rates rise 50% when the wife earns more than her husband, especially among younger married

quote:

A study conducted by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business determined that married women earning more than their husbands increased the possibility of unhappiness in the marriage. Even women earning just $5,000 more than the man increased the risk of divorce than marriages where the partners made the same or the woman earned less than the

quote:

The U.S. National Survey of Families and Households determined that those who report being happy in their marriages declined when women earned more than their husbands. This was said to increase the risk of divorce by 50

quote:

“A married woman earning more increases the probability of unhappiness in her union. Using data from 4,000 married couples surveyed as part of the US National Survey of Families and Households, the researchers show that the percentage of people who report being “very happy” with their marriage declines when a woman earns more money than her husband.”

quote:

Studies also show that when a wife out-earns her husband, he is more likely to cheat. In fact, about 15% of the men in a study by the American Sociological Review who were 100% financially dependent on their wives had affairs. That’s three times higher than high-earning wives, who had the lowest cheating rates of any population. According to the report, about 9% of women in the study had affairs, but among wives who earned a higher paycheck, only 5% cheated

quote:

according to the Journal of Family Issues, the more economically dependent that men are on their wives, the less housework they do. Even women with unemployed husbands spend considerably more time on household chores than their spouses. In other words, the more the wife earns, the greater the penalty at home

The psychology of marriage is not applicable to this.

Most studies don't involve famous music artists and alligator tour baws.

As far as I can tell, yep. I wonder if this guy just shot his shot, asked for her number, then a couple of years later he gets a "you up?" text from Lana

Proposing to her must've been something else.

City girl + country guy, sure.

Famous singer city girl + southern guy...no.

It'd be a fresh take.

Luke Bryan was on Rogan talking about eating at one of the top rated restaurants in NYC where they aged ducks with the guts in them 14 days.

Supposedly some French delicacy Yack

And Harvey on TMZ was dressed as this guy for Halloween
