Also I had my birthday party there one year in the late 80s when it was Showbiz Pizza.
This was my first thought when I read Hooters closed. Bring back Showbiz!

Showbiz Pizza.
So that's where Showbiz Pizza was! I went there a few times in the 80's but couldn't remember exactly where it was.

Most successful chain restaurants in the US are off or very close to interstates.
The three Hooters locations in the BR metro area are very close to interstates, especially college drive and Denham Springs location. Siegen location is very close to I-10 as well.
This lafayette location wasn’t remotely close to an interstate.

The new TopGolf should jump all over this opportunity to bring in some of the better looking broads from hooters as Bay attendants. Would help people forget that they were mad there isn’t 3 levels.

Lafayette is weird in that they've seemingly developed further away from I10 instead of closer. Louisiana Avenue is about the closest newer development and even that's not much.

Gracie Courville is pretty damn fine.

2) Anywhere too close to a Walmart eventually turns to shite.
This can be said for any "establishment" near a Walmart. Not just restaurants, other stores or even neighborhoods. About the only thing that "prospers" near a Walmart is a trailer park.

I'm sure this will break the hearts of many 50-yr-old OTers who've spent many hours there drooling over girls their daughters' age and skirting the line of public sexual harassment all in the hope of treating them to a special dinner after their shift at Texas Roadhouse.

1) Location got stale. Needed to move south toward the Costco area years ago where all the new restaurants are now opening.
Good lord no. Nothing more needs to move to that Costco area down Ambassador. It’s extremely over saturated. Hell at least put it down the road a little or up Kaliste Saloom or Pinhook near hwy 90.

The girls that were blessed in that department and wanted to work in that industry are at Twin Peaks.
Hooters was ahead of its time....
Now lots of competition, Twin Peaks, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc...Any bar can buy a few extra TV's these days since they are so cheap.....wings, beer, sports...

Yeah. Back when you couldn't see Hooter girls on your phone or TV 24/7 They served a purpose.
Their food sucks and I can see the same chicks on my screen who won't sleep with me.
