Former Hooters employee Gracie Courville says it came as a shock to everyone who worked there.

I don't know how it was a shock, a bartender at another establishment told me months ago that it would be closing. Apparently the word was out.

It's right near our office and we frequented it often, place always seemed busy during lunch. I have no idea about the evening business.

Also the part where she said some of the staff have kids and have worked there more than ten years. I've never gone to Hooters in hopes of seeing 30 year old single moms.

Expect and hope have very different meanings. And I'd call 30 years a big exaggeration. Ten years ago both Hooters in BR were full of attractive college aged girls.

It's the only reason any business that's relatively new and nice got, or gets, built in this state basically.

You think people want to invest in something in a limp dick arse state and get taxed to high hell????

it's been a while since I've been to a Hooters but don't remember them ever being overly expensive.

Only time I ever eat there is if I'm traveling and it's convenient to the hotel. Usually more talent in larger cities that have a college or two and not too culchaded up. Always enjoyed their wings.
