This woman and her husband lost their business because they opted to not design something that was opposed to their personal beliefs. The lesbian couple won a lawsuit... claiming they were "mentally raped". The court fined the bakery $135,000 which was apparently appealed... then ultimately upheld in final judgment about a week ago.

If a Jewish couple demanded a Muslim owned bakery to design their wedding accessories.. and the Muslims opted to pass, would the court have upheld this same suit?

Mentally raped??

If the Consitution guarantees religious liberty... it does so for the lesbians and not for the bakery owners? United States citizens lost their family business for this??? This courthouse should be bulldozed with presiding judge inside.

The land where pumping their own gas will cause them to be 'mentally raped'. I wonder if they will sue gas stations if they have to actually pump their own gas.

There's two sides. 1, as a business owner why you would turn away business is confusing. 2, as a customer, why would you give business to someone who's opposed to your way of life like that? I don't think legally you should be able to force someone to provide a service to you, but that doesn't mean we can't shame or boycott the store owners. But I just don't get why the lesbian couple would want to buy their cakes here in the first place.

It's been said that the bakery owners went after the couple and encouraged death threats, etc, and that's why the case turned out how it did. I don't know if it's true.

Maybe they make the couples favorite cake? Or maybe they are the only baker in the vicinity.

This is getting out of control. There was another company that did the exact same thing!

Crazy.

supreme court will surely overturn this travesty, that is unconstitutional to force someone to violate religious beliefs

What religion forbids baking a cake for a gay customer?
