Lack of Marriage affection and sex

I'm the male and want affection from my wife (you know like you see from new couples or publicly affectionate couples out dating and you say to yourself he's smashing that like crazy). I like to feel wanted by her. It's not totally about the sex act which is sparing to my standards. Also it seems like a chore to her. I don't want to go the cheating route. So do most live this miserable life and pretend to like being married or do they walk out on the marriage for greener pastures.
