Years ago had a cocker mix that ate several trays of D-con rat poison. Caught him in the act luckily. Called vet who calmed me down and told me to get a bulb syringe and fill it with hydrogen peroxide. I squirted the whole syringe down the dog’s throat. He shortly thereafter vomited all of the rat poison, encased in an “envelope” of slimy foam. No further issues.

We have a beagle that ate a lot more than a few years ago. She would do it again if we let her. No worries.

My old boxer (RIP) ate an entire bag of fun size Snickers one Halloween. The only negative impact was she was shitting Snickers wrappers for a couple of days.

My boxer at a gallon sized bag of fudge. She ran circles in the house from 2-4 am, went outside and shite/puked. Vet told us he's never had a dog die of chocolate.

I think chocolate is bad for dogs and yours just ate 12 pieces of chocolate. I would say that's bad news.
