Jeffrey makes me think that they skip 1st Amendment law at Loyola.

Then don’t make assessors office information public.
I think context is important.
Assessors’ office info being public is one thing. Posting that info on social media with “Everyone, let’s go trash Gov Landry’s mom’s yard” is another.

What kind of personal info are we talking about here?
A public servant's public information is public record. If you can FOIA their info, you can post it online. This definitely includes names and salaries. Not sure about home addresses.
Now, if you're posting home addresses in an effort to incite some type of violence against that person, that's another issue.

Gov. Jeff Landry
502 North Blvd.
Baton Rouge, LA 70802
Can he ask me to take this down?
Also, politicians have to be able to prove they live in the district they serve. They do that by listing their address on forms that the public has access to. So now are we they list their address are they going to now be like “just trust me bro”?

People still will get touched without info on the internet....some ppl have no lives and their sole purpose is to find out who you are and where you live. Js

States across the country have approved similar laws in recent years after a handful of high-profile attacks on judges and other politicians. By shielding their personal information from the public, government officials hope to reduce their risk to political violence.
frick every one of these slimy cocksuckers. They simply don't want to have to answer for their abhorrent decisions. Like the "wise Latina" DEI judge in Chicago who let the guy walk loose that subsequently went out and set a woman on fire. Or local judges who refuse to incarcerate recidivists. They simply don't want to face accountability.
Don't want your name on social media? Then don't run for office or accept the position. Stay out of public life. Or better yet, don 't make poor decisions.

Does Jeff think he’s more powerful than the 1st amendment?
I’m not sure what he thinks. He already tried the whole 10 commandments in school thing again, which the USSC ruled on years ago.
I genuinely don’t think he believes in rules unless they benefit him.

This will get overturned by the supreme court one day and will cost tax payers millions for a settlement.
The taxpayers of Louisiana deserve it for voting for Jeff Landry.

Amazing how it was so funny posting personal information on Democrats with the underlying thought of making the libtards suffer, they were snowflakes for complaining, etc but now when the same thing is done to Republicans it is a serious matter and laws are now passed to stop this behavior.

Then the state of Louisiana needs to quit selling our names, addresses, and phone numbers to whatever entity will buy them.
