you do realize economic depression isn't exactly wonderful and also costs lives, right?

we're just entering the pain and have, at best, another month. that would take some magic to only last that long

Are you talking about the population or the government? Because I told you all a week ago it was about to explode in New Orleans

And you were correct. All of us who either work in a healthcare field or who have close family members connected knew. John Bel knew as did the AG and LDH attorneys, and they have been drafting the executive orders to go as far as they believed the population would go. It’s a tough balance. Last week stronger measures were not taken because the data (confirmed cases) was running a week behind because of the 5-7 day turnaround and people simply didn’t understand what was actually going on.

At some point we will have to decide as a society that people will have to be exposed. We can’t lock down forever.

that's the scary part. this all may be for naught if/when that happens (too early)

I take a very low dose ACE for mild hypertension. I don’t think like hearing that. My is 95% genetic and I’m a pretty normal weight and mostly eat a decent diet

this has been my argument, that all of these half measure will be for nothing

the only thing one could argue is that it stalled everything for us to at least get some time of medicine out there and better testing

yeah that thread title will be in all caps

this is the proto-version of THAT thread

similar theory. if you know you have to commit 100% or do nothing, why are we being incremental?

Salmon is upset because since he can’t get a haircut, a mani/pedi, tattoo or buy new clothes, he wants everyone else to stay home.

Some people are so selfish.

It’s the trash that lives in Nola.

I’ve always hated this place and never ceases to give me another reason not to.

This approach is very intentional. It’s a stepped approach to avoid panic. If the announcement was lock down from the beginning, it would create far more panic than if you do it in steps.

It’s an actual method.

so your basic message here is that the gubmint has failed us and society is on the brink of collapse, and your first instinct was, "omg I have to POST ONLINE RIGHT NOW" lmao

Yep. I found out about this announcement on Friday. Leaders have a plan and they sure as hell aren't telling us the full story.

Hope you boarded up.

Had to keep the special interest groups happy as long as he could, typically Louisiana.

They should have locked down nola weeks ago
