It just strikes me as strange that you’re so worked up over coronavirus
our economy, and i mean this beyond LA, is ruined due to these policies
and now our state is enacting more and more authoritarian measures to control its population
you aren't concerned with either of those things?

He’s doing what every other state is doing and what the president is saying to do.

If one can criticize Trump then JBE is even more a screw up. Trump can claim China hid it and he was busy with democrat impeachment BS. JBE has zero excuse. He had plenty of time.

it's clear that LA needed more decisive action a lot longer ago. we had a head start over areas like New York/NJ and now we are surpassing them

No I’m concerned about a lot. Just saying, knowing you, you’re trying to start an argument for no reason which is fine

Blame your population. Just reading this board I can tell that 90% of this board thought this was a hoax and blamed democrats.
The majority of our citizens have not taken this seriously. Blame your low education neighbors.

Rispone wouldn't have put up with this shite

this is logic. this gradual increase makes sense in only 2 scenarios
1. we are a frog in boiling water and they've lied to us and allowed exponential spread
2. they are incompetent and have no idea what they're doing
This is it. Seeing how La has handled this from afar makes me glad I'm not there.

That definitely would've gotten blasted as an overreaction.

then going nuclear isn't making much sense, now
you get blasted then or blasted now
but only one choice would have made a real difference

Exactly.
The time for measures that could have made a real difference was when this board was full of posts saying it was all media driven false alarm (that were getting 95% upvotes) and Trump was saying stuff like “We're going very substantially down, not up” . . .
Good luck to any state/local politician that tried to do much of anything at that point.

People keep talking about Mardi Gras a month ago. If you picked it up then, you already had it then probably recovered from it.
Wow.. But do you understand how it spreads. Someone could have got it at mardi gras. 7 days later gave it to one person.. Who then 5 days later gave it to someone else who then 3 days later gave it to another person who then 9 days later gave it to 5 people. That is 24 days so because of Mardi Gras New Orleans is ground zero..

This.
Now we just have Capt. Hindsight saying we should've acted sooner(when it probably is too late) instead of it's too early to do anything if they had acted a month ago.

I ask you again..... Could you do a better job????

Trump just announced La is one of 3 states getting "special" help
Posted on 3/22/20 at 5:13 pm to OWLFAN86
We need it. Per capita we are screwed without enough supplies.

if it's too late, why are we double-fricking ourselves?
