She was elected overwhelmingly both times
She is a representation of the majority of those that voted
Too bad more don’t vote but then again, the alternatives are any better

She’s no different than any of the other democrat mayors across the country. Strange how all the cities are deteriorating. Surely a coincidence.

I just don’t understand this mentality…..so they’re ok with the ENTIRE city turning into a crime ridden sewer?
The wealthy are leaving the city in droves. In many cases either to Old Metairie but in most cases people are either moving to Covington/Mandeville/Folsom or the Ms Gulf Coast.
The stories from crime victims that aren’t reported in the media right now is just insane. IE A Prominent businessman’s wife picked her her child from St George’s Episcopal School on Napoleon at 3:45 PM on a Tuesday. She gets to Nashville and Claiborne her car was riddled with bullets and hit by another car from the rear.
Luckily neither were hit but her car was on fire from the gunshots. She floored her car while it was on fire and made it the Costco parking lot.
They pulled their child from St George’s, wife now refuses to even come into Orleans Parish she is so completely traumatized, they moved out of Orleans, and god now show much longer he is going to keep his business in Orleans Parish.
People with any means at all are getting the frick out of Orleans Parish right now and the end result is going to be even more disastrous.

Need as many as these stories to hit the airwaves as possible. At some point someone has to do something…..the city council, governor….idk. It’s fricking out of control.
Outside of a recall, is there any way that ghetto bitch can be removed?
I mentioned this in another thread, but I’m a real estate agent and the properties in Metairie are on fire from people coming from Orleans. Even before the crime the decision is a No brainer, but it’s just getting worse and worse.

It’s just a matter of time before all that white flight takes over the NorthShore, and not long after that the tax money gremlins will also make a foothold.

It’s way more places than that. I know several people from Louisiana in North and South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida

I don't live in the city, so I would defer to those who are either stuck there or choosing to try to stay and fight.
Having said that, from an outsider's perspective, this is NOT intentional. Incompetence on its face cannot account for all of this, so I understand the take that it is intentional. My interpretation is that, the incompetence (across the board, virtually every department, virtually every senior official, virtually every middle manager, etc.) has reached such a level and that, coupled with the counterproductive policies that are so popular among the big city governing types that aren't going anywhere, anytime soon, all combine to create the impression that it is intentional.
Frankly, that is the only reasonable alternative to it being actually intentional.

What you fools fail to understand is that the greatest of all chocolate cities will arise from the white ashes of the city—a chocolate city in Teedy’s image.

She is from Compton... What the hell do you think she is doing here. She is here to destroy NOLA... Everything she does is purposeful.

There was a thread not long ago about New Orleans being all about where you went to high school. The prestige high schools were Jesuit and Dominican, right? Why can’t one of these prestige high school alumni show some pride and reclaim their city from these woke, progressive idiots? Dominican has a supreme court justice for God’s sake and surely a Jesuit alum must run a prestigious Mardi Gras krewe.
The influential New Orleans residents are watching their city go to hell. I can’t imagine seeing a home town to which I’m so attached that I identify with my high school into adulthood go to crap without doing something. Where is the pride? Get all your Mardi Gras brothers and sisters together and put up someone to run your city. Stop making excuses and stop acquiescing to the idiots, criminals, corruption and sanctuary city folks who are ruining your city.
There are many in New Orleans who have the wealth and power to make something happen. Will they do it? History will judge you very harshly if your city continues the rate of decline we have seen in the last 8-10 years. You should be ashamed. I don’t blame the mayor as much as I blame the business owners and influential, wealthy of New Orleans. The mayor is stupid and she is doing the only thing a stupid person can do.

My children will tell you unequivocally YES. They can ride their bikes, walk, play in the neighborhood without fear of being shot, robbed, or harassed by homeless people.
And hey my wife and I can go to a restaurant and not feel nervous walk to it or from it for fear of being carjacked or robbed. Our heads are no longer on a swivel but I get it too because I lived in Orleans Parish for so long that just seemed normal but guess what it’s far from normal it is downright disgusting.

One of my Dad’s best friends from Jesuit’s class of 77 is a very prominent attorney in the city. I won’t post his name but some posters might know who I’m talking about. We’ve been trying to convince him to run for mayor since we think he’d have a chance, but he won’t do it. Says Nola is a lost cause.

I'm sure your friend is more than qualified to be mayor of New Orleans, but do you remember who our last lawyer Jesuit grad who was mayor? That's right, Mitch Landrieu.
If you talk your friend into running, hopefully he'll emphasize some of his other qualities.

There are no white rich people with influence in New Orleans politics that are not among the LaToya supporters.
I have always been amazed how much those rich white New Orleans society people think of themselves and how little they actually are outside a few city blocks uptown or lake view.
With only a relatively few exceptions the monied white people in New Orleans got their money through political connections of some sort. The exceptions being people like the food industry entrepreneurs and such. For example, there are no big bankers or big industrialists or big petrochemical leaders in the city anymore.
Being a Jesuit grad doesn’t mean shite outside the circle of Jesuit grads.
