Negative. If that was true people who were found not guilty would be retried all the time.

In this case he would have been retried once the photos of OJ wearing the Bruno Magli shoes surfaced. You know, the ones that the prints were found all over the crime scene that OJ famously said that he'd never wear those "ugly arse shoes".

They're sure to frick that up, too.

Top Secret, but they tell TMZ? Right!

Regardless, though...Everyone who has any kind of intelligence knows the fricker is guilty. He got off on technicalities. What will this change? Just another way to waste money.

I don't know what's funny about that, TMZ pays big money for pics and info, are you saying the LAPD is above having officers give out info for money?

I don't know who is more incompetent. The LAPD or OJ as a criminal.

He did it. Interesting that he was taking meds for his hands and stopped taking them when the trial started so his hands would swell up.

Black people do realize he carved those people up like a turkey, right? I always thought it was more a revenge thing because of Rodney King.

Kinda like:
"Yea, we know he killed em, but we love the juice and yall crakers beat Rodney King so FU."

Black people don't REALLY think he's innocent, do they?

Serious question.

I'm sure many do.

They're the same ones who think that the white man is still holding them down to this day, even though in reality they have no money and no prospects because they didn't bother to get an education or learn a skill and make something of themselves. But nah, it's bc of whitey.

At the time, absolutely. I remember the verdict news spreading. I was in college, in a chemistry class. Of course pre cell phones being everywhere. pre-texts. It was split down the middle. Black students genuinely excited, and white students were "WTF"???

If you ask those same black students today I am sure their opinion has changed.

Right, they were excited bc he got off, not bc they thought we was innocent. Those are two separate things.

It was one of those things in life where everyone remembers where they were when it happened (hearing the verdict). It was crazy and split right down the middle racially.

Totally agree. OJ was just damn lucky at the moment in time and the city he was in when he decided to become a killer.

The LAPD just got the knife weeks ago. Did you read the part where the police officer held onto the knife for 18 years and wanted it framed as a souvenir?

obstruction of justice carries a harsh sentence

So, who would you put on trial for obstruction of justice?

O.J.? It's not his job to confess to the murder.

The Dream Team? They did their job in punching holes in the prosecution's case. Giving the best defense to their client doesn't constitute obstruction of justice.

The rules are biased in favor of the defendant by design. The prosecution has to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. They failed to do that. It's been fascinating watching the FX show, but nothing will change the fact that O.J. was acquitted.

And, I'm pretty sure he did it.

technically they probably can.....they won't, but technically speaking there is a window, although I was young when the trial was ongoing so I am not sure of all the relevant details
