It's pretty amazing that we can't seem to make a fridge with a reliable ice maker anymore. Something that was an afterthought 30-40 years ago.

Blame the green energy movement.

What's the current headcount of appliances on your kitchen counter, and which ones are vying for the title of “Counter Kingpin?”

The only appliance we have that stays on a countertop is an antique mixer that belonged to my wife’s grandfather.

Our coffeemaker goes in a coffee nook with its own cabinet.

Everything else goes into our walk in pantry, including our toaster.

The counter stays clean as frick because we’re not a couple of trashy rednecks like the rest of you.

You realize that's not how they should operate right?

Or are you saying you pull out the Air Fryer and put it on the counter to use. Then, when it's safely cooled to room temp, you stow it away like a good peasant for LL?

Nespresso Vertuo, toaster oven, a utensil jar, and my gal's KitchenAid mixer. I don't like cluttered counter space, want to have clear surface to actually use. Plan on building some additional cabinets to add extra prep surface.

I’m an a-hole and don’t like counter top appliances in my kitchen. So we have none. My wife works from home and we have a Nespresso machine in our formal dining room adjacent to her office. I love that thing.

Just a small coffee maker and a toaster. My wife uses those. I don't drink coffee or eat breakfast at the house. I eat a little something when I get to work.

Also have my nice blue dutch oven sitting on it's matching heat pad thing. It just looks cool over on the counter out of the way. Seems everyone has their air fryer on the counters.

We just finished our kitchen remodel and we made sure to design some cabinet slides for small appliances.

We keep our air fryer, crockpot, and instapot thingy in those slides, along with an electric griddle and a couple other things.

Good to have designed storage for all those things.

I fully expected to see this Video about cutting custom knife slots into counter top.

One

An over 20 year-old KitchenAid mixer hiding in a corner.

Sumbitch runs like the day it was unboxed.

Skinny keurig, toaster, toaster oven, kitchenaid mixer. But we have a lot of counter space.

I did add usable storage with heavy duty pullout drawers in that “corner” wasted space you see in most kitchens, it was a game changer. We can stick the air fryer and other stuff there until we need it.

I didn’t have the toaster oven out for years, but we realized how useful it can be instead of heating up the oven.

Coffee maker on one side and a toaster oven/air fryer on the other.

Additional items are a dish drying rack, bread box, and fruit basket, if you just have to know.

We got a new fridge last month and went back to a side by side. The ice maker is actually inside the freezer… what a novel concept.

We also realized how pointless the drawer freezer actually is, so much stuff just gets lost.

We aren’t on trend without a French door fridge, I guess… but if you are looking for a new fridge, I encourage looking at a side by side.

I keep the airfryer on the counter.

My microwave is on a shelf in my pantry. Didnt even want it in the kitchen.

Everything else is put away and only taken out during use.

Keurig, Air Fryer, and a Blender. I use a toaster but keep in a cabinet when I’m not using it.

2. Coffee maker and old fashioned toaster for my homemade waffles.
Utensil holder is next to the stove.
Everything else is in the pantry.

I like my counters clean for prepping and washing.
