These days and FBI award means as much as getting a coupon at harbor freight for a free dinky flashlight, when you buy something else.

FBI is pretty much the Democrat gestapo, of course they think MP is doing a great job. I’d throw that shite in the garbage if I was a cop or just refuse it.

I used to serve her and her husband drinks pretty regularly. Did he ever graduate law school? I haven't heard a peep about him since those days, 8years or so ago.
He still pops up on the radio news once a week or so. I guess Jim Shannon never became a lawyer.

Each city should just have 1 chief, who is the liaison with the sheriff's dept.
The Sheriff should have 95% of the funding and just cover the whole parish.
Stops duplication and the Sheriff is elected by citizens in this parish versus a chief being appointed by the Mayor.

Sounds like a good idea but seems impossible because all the municipalities jealously guard their own fiefdoms and paychecks. Is any parish or county actually organized like this?

Las Vegas and Clark County, NV. It is headed by a sheriff and called Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept.

It takes the many bureaucratic positions out of the various departments. Allows a better flow of information, more officers in the streets, and the Sheriff is elected by the people.

Honestly sounds like a great way to do it. If only EBR could get competent parish leadership that was interested in managing the change.

That would mean the mayor would have to give up some power and that bitch isn’t going to do that

Cops are such goobers. Those guys would be peddling used Corollas somewhere in Prarieville if they weren’t cops. It’s the male version of being a teacher.

The same people who fight SG and tell us we are better together would tell you we need a separate PD for the city and a sheriff for the parish. They would stop SG from incorporating and from having our own PD.

Essentially, New Orleans has this with NOPD. The sheriff’s primary responsibility now is to run the jail, keep the courts safe, and deliver court papers in Orleans parish.

I can remember at a time Orleans Parish had two Sheriff’s. One for Criminal and one for civil. After Katrina they eliminated the civil sheriff office and merged it with the criminal sheriff putting it online with the other 63 parishes, except that criminal cases are investigated by NOPD because the city of New Orleans occupies the entire parish of Orleans.

What gets me too is that there are also a Levee Police forces for the Levee Districts on the East and West Bank, how much crime is happening on the levee that you need an entire police force. I think some of these officers also supplement NOPD in areas for extra patrols when hired for OT. Must be a sweet gig if you can get there in your law enforcement career.

EBR is a perfect use case for a metro police department. Think Las Vegas and Nashville. There is no reason to have BRPD, Zachary PD, Central PD, etc.

Where in the 1st amendment does it say where to get a press pass? She has an easy lawsuit and will win. Anyone can be press.

Nakamoto is trying to keep his gay affairs from coming out
I do know for a fact that he has a pretty wife and multiple kids with her. I've met him/her/and the kids. Take that for what it's worth.

I don't give a shite what his sexual preference is. But I do know that he comes across as all hardass but when given the golden opportunity to go after the elephant in the room (SWB) he conveniently ducks and dodges out the way. So he's kind of a fraud. Kiran has more nuts than any other media member in the area.
