One day people will realize the beauty of intermittent fasting. I literally eat whatever I want but in a 6 hour window. I fast for 18 hours. Weight management has never been easier or more satisfying than this intermittent fasting diet.
I've been doing IF for 2 months now. Down 20 lbs with no strength loss

Maybe.
But it's not going to be healthy. You'll lose muscle.
I'm talking strictly weight loss. If you have a regular workout routine, and are a regular toned person, I doubt you'd lose significant muscle.

I bet Mark Haub feels like shite though. And the cholesterol part sounds like a fabrication.

Haven't smoked since 2/11!

Or you can explain to me why an ad lib keto diet loses more weight and corrects serum cholesterol numbers better than any other calorie restricted diet?
Plus, all that sugar is driving up inflammation. Why wasn't this peer reviewed? I seriously doubt his cholesterol did what it did unless he was a big drinker beforehand, then quit for the study. Just stopping the drinking can have that effect on TG and HDL. Besides, there are many different forms of LDL. Did his become more pattern b?
What was his body fat %? Was it a Dexa scan? A real study would have done this before and after.
Fairly terrible troll attempt

Keto diets help you lose water weight which is why so many people swear by them. It is like people who lose weight in a sauna
100% wrong. you definitely get leaner in the first couple of weeks from losing the 'bloat' from sugar/carbs in your system that make you retain water but you don't lose 100lbs of water.

True about your weight, but the ingridients in those processed foods are going to cause other health problems even if you are skinny.

Calories ultimately matter.
But my 2000 calories of 160g protein, 135g fat and 25g carbs and stabilized insulin level gonna never leave me hungry and make it easier to stick with a calorie deficit.

Any calorie restricted diet will work in the short term. The goal is to find an eating strategy that you can SUSTAIN. Keto diets are impacting satiety (due in large part to food quality and macronutrients they focus on and exclude) and are appealing because of simplicity (factors that make a difference for long term compliance). Also, see my posts on triage theory of micronutrient utilization which underscores the LONG term hidden dangers that consuming a nutrient poor diet introduces.
I am not buying into your short sided personal anecdote (which defines bro-science). I challenge you to maintain the eating style you posted indefinitely and report back. I will be happy to surveil you and profit.
Short term "no obvious harm", long term loss
Second scenario, assume you were issuing recs to a family member or an entity that you have a fiduciary responsibility towards. If they asked you if this eating style was appropriate long term how would you respond?

You can lose weight but you won't be gaining any muscle and you're probably killing your liver from processing that shite.
