The fact that his parents thought it would be a good idea for him to be interviewed over this kind of story speaks volumes.

Yeah he will be immune

Back in my day the vaccine for chicken pox was the chicken pox

Gladly would’ve taken a shot over being isolated from friends for a week and trying not to scratch my skin off

That's what I was saying. Little shits have it easy today.

Like others mentioned, our vaccine was contracting it, itching like mad and being kept out of school.

I’m sure he will be okay. It’s just chicken pox. In fact, he will be stronger for it. Physically and spiritually

Vaccine debates don't take place in intelligent households. Only dimwitted, willfully ignorant idiots have "debates" about them.

Guess this kid never heard the old joke about flooding and God:

Neighbor offers to let man ride out of flood zone with him with forecasted coming starting. "Nope, God's gonna protect me!"

A few hours later Sheriff drops by and says come on, evacuations ordered for this specific area. "Nope, God's gonna protect me!"

Little while later boat comes along as the water is rising, come on man, jump in the boat and let's get outta here! "Nope, God's gonna protect me!"

Few hours later man is on top of his house when helicopter offers to fly him out. "Nope, God's gonna protect me!"

As the man is fading tired of dogpaddling, about to drown he cries out, "God help me!" God says; "I sent your neighbor, I sent the sheriff, I sent a boat, even a helicopter. C'ya shortly face to face"

The school probably bused in a bunch of illegal aliens to get that poor kid sick and teach him a lesson.

They say it's better to sue over the chickenpox vaccine when you're young so you don't have to sue over the shingles vaccine when you're older

I don't understand what is ironic or even amusing about this. I mean the family's views may be absurd and suing the school is not something I would do. But there is nothing ironic about someone being against a forced vaccination getting the disease for which he refused the vaccination. And it is especially lacking in intrigue given it's a minor disease that everyone I knew as a kid had and got over relatively painlessly.

The only irony is that you bitches are being bitches in the process of bitching about others for being bitches.

Downvoters, I'd like for you to display your lack of understanding of the concept of irony. Don't quote Winona (pics allowed).

Am I missing something? He didn't want to take the chicken pox vaccination.. So he got chicken pox. He will be fine.

Doesn't that actually work better in his favor? Like "Oh look, you tried to force me to take a vaccination to something that didn't even do much harm to me".

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying people should not get vaccinated, I am just saying.. In this instance this really isn't "karma". It's the fricking chicken pox.

The purpose of vaccinations is not so that you don't get the disease...it is so that you don't get it and pass it on to others.

Yep, little shits today don't have to worry about it and good for them. Chickenpox wasn't bad for me. The fricking shingles were though.

He should have eaten some raw marmot. That would have cured him.
