Damn. Hopefully that ends quickly (which you'd it assume should since it's military).

IIRC, military bases are "soft" targets b/c of rules on people on base carrying.

Imagine if they locked down Memphis every time there was an "active shooter."

Those rules are out the window once someone fricks up.

What I mean is there are definitely weapons around and people trained on using them. Reaction time just seems like it should be easier/faster at a place like a military base, rather than some random place like a mall or school or whatever.

Sounds like it was originally supposed to be a drill and it became real?

The Air Force fricks this up every few years. I bet there was an active shooter exercise today and some spouse called it in as real. It just spirals from there with the dipshit sky police.

Stennis
very very different animal than Keesler…. There is usually a pretty formidable unit training there.

Heard on local news that no shooter has been found. They actually don’t know where this report originated.

Drill was supposed to start at 9:00. The person firing blanks started at 8:00. Everyone thought it was an active shooter. It wasn't.
