Indeed. Moving trucks will be here 2nd week of January and I'll be back in TX. Thank God.
I walk on this pier almost every day during my lunch. They put flowers out every July to honor her. Such a shame that the fricking morons in this area politicized this. No fricking clue what justice is.

But I do have a big problem with someone who says this is typical of illegal immigrants. It just isn't, and that's a fact.
Here's a fact for you:
Every single illegal immigrant is by definition a criminal.

Just heard on Fox that the "felon in possession of a gun" charge carries a minimum 16 months jail sentence.
Hopefully the Aryan Brotherhood will do us a solid and brutally murder his arse in prison.

Feel so sorry for her family.
What a travesty.

The first words out of the public defenders' mouths after the verdict were to talk about Trump and Pence.
quote:I would hope so. Not bc I hate all the immigrants that come over, like liberal media would like to make it seem, but, because they need to crack down on our borders. It's not all about cracking down on these poor little illegal immigrant families either, again, like liberal media wants people to believe. It's about preventing the bad ones from coming over, especially terrorist, since they can easily sneak people over our weak borders and have people in our country while planning another big terrorist attack and no one would even know bc we're so weak on borders.
have a feeling it's going to backfire. I would expect to see DHS start heating up.
Also, while I hope they will tighten up on our borders, I really wish they would make it to where it would be a little easier for some of these families to come over and become citizens legally. I've heard it's really difficult, which it should be because we should only want the best from other countries, but that's not what's happening. I've known a few illegals from South America who were trying to come over legally, but they said the process was being poorly managed and taking forever to be completed. These were engineers, architects and some construction managers too, who spoke perfect English and were good people with good families.
It's sad, because we make it hard on them to get over, but make it easy for the criminals to come over illegally. And I'm not saying all the ones here illegally are people with criminal past, don't twist my words. It's just the truth about our system and it's a shame that it's like that. I know both sides can be blamed, but liberals actually defend these criminal idiots who make it over and want to allow them to live among us with no accountability whatsoever.
Eta - BTW, I'm actually a registered independent, so I'm not just blindly hating on liberals bc I'm a registered Republican. When it was time for me to register, I didn't want to be tied to either party and I wanted to be able to vote for the people with the best policies without having to feel like I owed allegiance to one side or the other. That said, the way the Democratic party has been going the past 10 or 12 years or so, is just horrible IMO. I'm 30 years old, so I can't say I remember a completely different Democratic party, but I do remember it being a little more moderate when I was younger and paid attention.

This is jury nullification. He was convicted of the gun charge, which means the jury had to have found that he possessed and controlled the weapon in question. If the jury actually believed he stepped on the gun and it misfired, he would have been acquitted of all charges. There is no other explanation as to why he was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter, which is by definition the unintentional killing of another by recklessness or criminal negligence. Possessing and firing a weapon in a crowded area is at minimum involuntary manslaughter.

This may sound insensitive, but why are illegal immigrants given due process for a crime they commit in the US?

Eh, I don't mind that they receive due process. The problem that I have is that they're allowed to walk after committing their crimes. This guy was released by SF county despite the feds telling them to hold him so they could pick him up. I seriously hope the feds turn off the money tap for SF because of that.
