Not a problem, I was just suggesting. I couldn't tell if you thought that was new info or not. Even though I kept up with the 1st trial for the most part, I've been trying to find some good recap articles to refresh my memory before the 2nd trial starts. I know the motion to dismiss those two charges was denied earlier this month. I think they filed for appeal though.

Yeah I think they appealed and are waiting on that answer. That's why they want to move the trial start date to end of April. It's alot to keep up with.

I've been trying to watch and read as much as I can too

Also, and this is just me thinking more into it than I probably should, but maybe she was trying to get close to Higgins to get some type of information out of him? Obviously if that was the case, she would have mentioned this, but the job here is to prove she didn't kill John which I don't think she had anything to do with.

I see there has been a lot of wild speculation about what happened over the past few pages, which I totally understand, especially for people that are new to this case. I did the same when I first got into it.

Honestly, I've somewhat stopped trying to figure out exactly what happened that night, as I'm not sure we will ever actually know. Especially now that the federal investigation is supposedly closed and nothing really came from it. I'm more so curious to see the different the approaches are from both sides when compared to the 1st trial and what all new evidence is presented in the 2nd trial.

Yeah this one will be good watch. I really wish I would've watched all of the first one.

Partially, yes. I also think a major factor is the amount of recent motions leading up to the 2nd trial has taken away a ton of trial prep time. Every time one side files a motion, the other side has to immediately stop their standard trial prep in order to address whatever motion is being filed.

This is a decent article that details each day of the first trial. I've been using it to choose which days to go listen to if needed.
Karen Read First Trial - WCVB

There are several YouTube channels that have playlists of each day. Two in particular I like are:

John O'Keefe's injuries are very atypical of an Auto/Ped mechanism of injury.

Interested to see how the second trial plays out.

very common conclusion for people that get into this case. I know that is what caught my attention.

The prosecution tries to make a plausible rationale with scene reenactment but the lack of blunt force Injuries are highly concerning....especially at 24mph.

The only thing the judge has ruled on today is denied the prosecution text/emails/correspondence between Read and Defense in that 3 day window the prosecution wanted.

It seems like it wud be a funny cop "joke" to tell John they were downstairs sending him into the basement where the german shepherd was.... when ur drinking all day, that wud be funny. Especially since they wanted to move in on Karen.... and if he defends himself, u have a reason to attack him since he hit your family dog.

WTF are you on?

Judge issued ruling on the motion to dismiss. Of course she denied the motion.

The judge seems to make many statements of fact that are not actually facts in the case. The judge is completely throwing Micheal Proctor under the bus.

It’s time for Micheal Proctor to right the wrong and go on a redemption tour.

Was he actually fired or just suspended?

Ridiculous if he still has a job.

He was recently terminated, like within the past month I think. He had been suspended while an investigation was ongoing.

Ok good thanks.

Watching him squirm on the stand was awesome And you know this isn't the first case he was probably sharing photos with his boys. They shouldve seen what else he was sending and charge him.
