Also possible he was rendered unconscious inside the house and placed out on the lawn and left to die.
This is what I think happened. Things went too far and he was accidently killed. Put his body by the road, get rid of anything that could trace it back to him being killed by someone from inside the house.

Especially when you take into account all the “but dials” to John O’Keefe’s phone that morning from people who hadn’t called him prior to that night.

Wonder what beef they had with O’Brien to begin with. He seemed like a calm likable guy. Maybe he stumbled upon something he shouldn’t have and they had to silence him.
I’m also of the belief he was killed in the house. Too much coincidence with the now rehomed dog,
One last thing - in the documentary, Karen said she was waiting in the car while O’Brien went inside. They both showed up with the sole purpose of going in the house so why didn’t she? The house was only 2.7 miles +/- from the bar so they wouldn’t have beaten them there.

I thought the only person who called John O’Keefe (other than Karen Read) was Jen McCabe, who had called him that night. I think the other butt dials were between Albert and Higgins.
I don’t completely buy the cover-up/framing theories, but I think there’s more than enough for reasonable doubt. Albert’s dog conveniently being gone, the calls from Jen McCabe, the lack of any investigation inside the home, etc. are all easy enough to explain on a one-off basis but when you add it up, it’s a lot.
To me the biggest issue is the idea that she managed to get up to 28 mph (or whatever) in reverse, while making an 3-point turn, and knock him all the way across the yard. I struggle to understand how that’s even possible.

The three point turn wasn’t while backing up. The claim is she passed up turn down Fairview and had to make a three point turn in the road to go back to Fairview. Then sometime after that she reversed and hit OJO according to the CW.

Ah OK. Thanks for the clarification. But the claim is that she was doing 20+ mph in reverse when she hit him in the driveway correct?

24mph and they claim he was on the side of the road about 50ft from the driveway.
ETA: his body was found in the vicinity of the red dot.

In an earlier post I said maybe there was a fight, the dog got involved and John O’Keefe fled the house and for whatever reason, passed out in the snow. Maybe someone beat the shite out of him killing him intentionally or accidentally and dumped his body. I don’t believe that. But, I fully believe that LEO closed ranks to protect the Alperts after the fact.
I recall from the HBO doc someone saying rhat oddly, there were a lot of but dials from people in that house to John OKeefe’s phone. I don’t remember from who’s phones those calls were made.
Karen Read could very well be a classic narcissist, but in the least she is at least, a self-centered bich, but she is not a murderer.

that was Jennifer McCabe.

I 100% believe that whatever happened to OJO was not intentional, but the coverup after the fact has been deliberate. OJO got jumped or got in fight with someone. Maybe he was hit on the back of the head or he fell back and hit his head on something. We will probably never know the answer.
There is also some info that suggest their first plan was to say OJO was hit by a plow. Then Jennifer McCabe saw the cracked taillight on Read's Lexus and they changed to she hot OJO.
Another thing is that the 2:27am search on Jennifer McCabe's phone of "hos long to die in cold" suggest that they knew he was still alive and wanted to make sure he would be dead by the morning. That is also where they enter the realm of murder.

maybe she is but this has zero bearing on the case IMO.

Another thing that makes me question the whole thing is this.
OJO's internal body temp was 81 degrees when he was treated by first responders. If KR is responsible for OJO's death then he would have been outside in a blizzard from 12:30am until 6:00am. That's 5.5 hours. The that night was 26 degrees.
Do we have anyone that would have knowledge to what a persons expected body temp would be after 5.5hrs of laying in feet of snow at 26 degrees?

It seems like it wud be a funny cop "joke" to tell John they were downstairs sending him into the basement where the german shepherd was.... when ur drinking all day, that wud be funny. Especially since they wanted to move in on Karen.... and if he defends himself, u have a reason to attack him since he hit your family dog.

This is my theory. O'Keefe knew something he wasn't supposed to know. He never told Karen about it. He goes to the house to talk about it, he tells Karen to wait in the car. I think he was killed while she was waiting for him hence the reason he never comes back out while she was waiting for him.

like his girlfriend texting back and forth with Higgins? He seemed to know something about that at the bar. You add alcohol and anything is possible.

Yeah, I guess that would make the most sense.
Also, and this is just me thinking more into it than I probably should, but maybe she was trying to get close to Higgins to get some type of information out of him? Obviously if that was the case, she would have mentioned this, but the job here is to prove she didn't kill John which I don't think she had anything to do with.

I wish I had a list of outstanding motions for today's hearing..
- Courthouse buffer zone
- Death Certificate redaction of cause of death
That's all I can remember.

Yeah the juror explains this in the video. They all voted not guilty for charges 1 and 3. They were debating and couldn't be unanimous on charge #2 I think.
I would recommend fully reading about the first trial and aftermath. This has already gone through motions and been talked about a bunch over the past year.
