Have the closing arguments on either side changed your mind? Hasn't for me, if anything it reinforced my original thoughts.
What is the board's prediction/outcome for Karen Read?

In a just world we would get a Not Guilty on all 3 counts this afternoon but it will end in another hung jury. Hank provided what seemed like 100 different theories so a juror just has to latch onto one of them and refuse to budge.

Hank is a lying liar who lies so he did nothing but reaffirm the case is complete bullshite.
Still worried. It’s always a toss up.

Thanks. I didn't get to hear much of Hank's closing. What I did hear was boring. His voice inflection was boring.
This should be NG on all counts, but like some others have said, it's probably a hung jury again.
Did anyone inside the courtroom comment on the jury while Hank was speaking?

I was thinking Not Guilty until I saw this post:
This makes me worry. If this is accurate and it means something, then it may be another hung jury.

Unfortunately, that's where I'm at as well but I also wouldn't be surprised at a NG verdict.

I saw that as well but that might just be how that specific juror acts. I believe this is the first day that Turtleboy has been allowed in the courtroom so he has no idea the typical manner of any of the jurors.

He has been there a few other days but it has been rare. There is one juror that Sue O'Connell from NBC Boston, who has been there a majority of days, says never takes notes so it might be the same one.

Back from lunch and straight to side bahh.
Very on brand for this dumpster fire of a proceeding.

For them to come back with a verdict today would mean Bev will keep them for deliberations. Considering it's what? 2pm there, she'll release them for the weekend and reconvene Monday would be my guess.

Bev needs to lay off the Marlboro reds. Good lord she is dying of breath just talking.

She said yesterday she would keep them until 5 or 5:30 EST. That was contingent on them actually starting closing arguments at 8:45ish though so who knows if she will keep them that long. At the very least they will have over an hour or deliberation before the normal court ending time of 4.

Seems to add up. Now the handwringing of "ermahgahd the longer the deliberations go the worse it is for the defendent"
Those Court TV plebes love to say that.

My guess is that the jury will go back, take some time electing a foreman, read over each of the instructions again to be clear on the wording for charges, take 1 initial vote (assuming it won’t be unanimous either way) then call it for the day.
Tough to get start into deliberations and then leave for the weekend. Let everyone understand the charges in detail, think about it over the weekend and then get into Monday morning

Bev picked #5 as foreman...middle aged black man who took no notes.

Check the time stamp. That was before the jury was formally chosen. ha.
