who are so outraged by Kanye's comments, never start threads on Louis Farrakhan?

Probably because one guy is a 20x grammy winning musical artist, who then made even more money selling overpriced shoes.

And the other guy is a pastor of a fringe religious group.

Not exactly the same celebrity status here.

Seriously? The nazis pretty much pioneered modern science and physics. They were the foundation of NASA, atomic bomb, and the american interstate system. They were the first ones to really dive into DNA and eugenics.

There is tons more

Yet hitler did not invent any of this. His generals believed that he was an Idiot. They tried to assassinate him several times.

kim has run Kayne's brain through a blender.

Stalin and Mao killed more but hitler was still evil.

Pol Pot was off the charts.

In March and April of 1945 if we had not brought those nazi rocket scientist over to Fort Bliss the Russians would have grabbed all of them and we would be living under the threat of soviet missiles where we only had bottle rockets.

Pretty interesting to see from reading this thread that the longer we get from WW2, Hitler has become less of this hated monster and more of a great or impactful figure in history (even if he wasn’t a good guy). I wonder how long it will take before people kind of just shrug off what Hitler and Nazi Germany did. I imagine this is what it was like when Napoleon and other controversial historical figures went from reviled by the people who lived in that time to indifference or even admiration following their death.

You can come back from being AntiSemitic. I don't think anyone has come back from being pro-hitler.

Even Megan Fox lost her career for saying a director was "like Hitler ".

I mean there are still people alive that survived the Holocaust so he is still a hated figure for now but in 1 or 2 hundred years people will look at him in a still overall negative but more even keeled light. Like how we see Attila, Ghengis Khan, etc. Monsters in their time but interesting to us centuries later when we look at them objectively.

I think the problem for Hitler is that if we’re giving any sort of credit for things Germany got “right,” it has to be in spite of Hitler, not because of.

For example: He exterminated whatever Jews he could get his hands on, and whichever he couldn’t, they fled to the US and UK. As such, the Allies would have beaten him to the bomb had the war in Europe lasted long enough because he effectively exported Germany’s relatively large base of Jewish physicists.

Hitler was charismatic as frick, I’ll give him that. He got the German economy moving again. But he was also an idiot.

I posted this in one of the other Ye threads yesterday:

It seems he missed the limits and caveats part of Kim's lesson: all publicity is good publicity.

ie:

Put out a sex tape = good publicity

Putting out a sex tape with a Hitler double is probably not good publicity.

He clearly has mental health problems with runs with bad folk, but he also holds strong anti-semitic views and seems to love Nazis.

Oh I didnt mean to imply he doesnt believe a lot of the anti-Semitic stuff.

Just that the escalation to "hitler was good" in interviews is probably connected to his bipolar and current associates.
