The comments on YouTube are giving Black Twitter credit for this set.
That tweet is hilarious in retrospect.

I just watched it. I would totally listen to it as an album. Great job Juvie and Mannie Fresh.

And I say this as a person who has hated Juvenile and all of his music my whole life.
Kindly leave.

I gave Juvenile’s Daddy some big speckled trout the week before Hurricane Katrina.
A 60 qt ice chest full. Big specks. He took them home and fed the hood. I told him that if he did not bring my box back I would never give him another fish.
Three or four days after the storm he put his juice and a few clothes into my ice chest and swam up to Esplanade Ave. The Coast Guard dropped the basket with the corpsman and he was arguing with him because he wouldn’t let him bring my ice chest up into the helicopter. He wanted some more fish !!! He got to keep his jug.
Juvenile and his wife told me that the “ speckled trout fry and losing BFC’s ice chest “ is now a family story. His wife is as sweet as can be.

Thanks for sharing because I wouldn’t have known this existed if not.
The New Orleans rap scene and sound from cash money and no limit is just as unique as cypress swamps and crawfish boils. Juvenile stands out.
This performance is a reflection of the artistic intuition of the hip hop artists that we can often dismiss. Every once and while you get a good one and juvenile was one of them.
Thanks again

I was supposed to see Juvenile at Club LaVela in PCB at Spring Break ‘99. He canceled at the last minute. Walking back to our hotel somebody got shot in the parking lot.
That was when Back That Azz Up was being played all over the South.

The world was a better place when Cash Money Millionaires and No Limit Soldiers were in charge.

Saw an interview with Mannie recently. He said that the samplers/drum machines at the time could only play 8 sounds on one track so all those songs were made 8 sounds each.

That was pretty awesome. Could probably make an album like that of all their hits and sell it.
Mannie has always just seemed cool as hell
When they showed the crowd, thats exactly what I would imagine an NPR office looks like

Good Lord, that’s bringing me back to the days of No Limit/Cash Money. Even back then, it was simpler times.
I wasn’t expecting this tonight, thanks for posting it.
