I don't understand it either. If you are a nonbeliever as I am, why does it bother you? It doesn't bother me. Faith is very important to many people and I believe that many people would suck as humans if they didn't have their beliefs.

I don't hate him because he believes in something that I don't. How can I be angry over something I don't believe exists?

I don't know many people that hate him these days.

He's just overtly nice and kind of has a punchable face, and people hated playing against him in college

The dude played QB for Florida. I will never pull for him. Couldn’t care less if he was a good guy or not.

Let's be honest if it weren't for his "faith controversy" he would be as relevant now as cranberry sauce in March. He was an NFL flameout and plays the stick and ball sport worse than Michael Jordon did when he played for shits and giggles during his suspension, I mean sabbatical, from basketball.

I’m 42 and can’t think of a more put together human being than Tim Tebow. Just a 100% solid dude.

We don’t know what kind of person Tebow really is. Look at Joe Paterno. Everyone talked about how much class he had etc and in reality the guy was a huge POS that ignored and covered up homosexual rape in the name of being able to win more football games.

Tebow is not a wife beater, drunk, whatever. He is simply a nice guy open about his Christian faith and for that he has a ton of people rooting against him.

He's also a fricking Florida Gator. Don't ever forget that.

Actually I'm a big Tebow fan. Have been for a while.

serious question as i was pretty young when the scandal happened, but was JoePa a john beilein type guy? pretty widely accepted that he was a genuinely good guy and wasn't "dirty".

Yes, he coached at Penn State from 1950 to his demise in 2011. Everyone loved him and thought very highly of him. He had a statue that has since been removed.

To me it doesn’t get any worse than Paterno. He was a total fraud. People talked about how much character he had yet he let a Homosexual run rampant in his football facility for 25 years raping children in showers.

bullshite. It's 2019. If there isn't evidence of Tebow being a fraud yet, he's legit.

I didn’t like Tebow at Florida for obvious reasons. I tell you what though it was really hard to dislike the guy. He’s an all around good dude. Great role model for young athletes and non athletes alike.

Ain't a dad on this board who would be upset with their daughter bringing home someone like Tebow.

He's not asking the media to cover him in whatever he does. And if they ask him about his life, he mentions his faith, because it's a big part of who he is. It's not like he's calling press conferences to preach the good w

It was awful when he kneeled. Just like Kaep.
