Tim tebow understands that to be successful you need just as many people to hate you as like you. Why do t you understand?

He needs to lay-off the sex a bit.

Every knows when you hold it back, you become excellent at baseball.

George C. checking in.

He's also a fricking Florida Gator. Don't ever forget that.

That is seriously the only thing about him to dislike and that’s pretty subjective.

. Especially a dude that could have damn near any woman he wanted in college.

I know a guy who can right now in life. Don’t know him well but he is a friend of a friend. One of the best looking guys around, somewhat famous, won’t even kiss a woman until he is married. He is dedicated the Christ, he had a strong conversion. Before he “found” Christ he was in a Mexican boy band, starred on Mexican soaps, and even has several American films under his belt.

There are people out there who are straight, good looking, and chaste but not many.

Eduardo Verasigui is who I am talking about.

He is simply a nice guy open about his Christian faith and for that he has a ton of people rooting against him.

He’s basically just like trump is. This is what happens when you have a muslim president for 8 years that passes Jim Crow laws against Christians

personally dislike someone because of his alma mater is childish.

i don’t “personally” dislike the guy as a human being.

i just actively root against LSU’s rivals even when they are no longer at those schools.

In the late 1979, when asked if he was thinking about retirement, Paterno said he "Wasn't ready to give up the game to the Barry Switzers and Jackie Sherrills of the world."

Like he was above those guys because of his reputation, clean living, nerdy looks, or something. It was like he was saying the Big 10 coaches were more than salesmen who get down in the sh*t, and recruit players like those Big 8, and SEC coaches do. A good bit of the national media agreed with him, and whole Big Ten probably did too.

Penn State didn't join the Big Ten until the 1990s.

Agreed, it was his way of saying thank you & giving glory to God. I prefer my kids role models to be people of good character on and off the field.

Has anyone ever had so many people rooting against them for the simple fact the person is a decent human being?

The majority of people who hate him don’t hate him because of his faith. The majority hate him because he was a below average NFL player who got an incredible amount of hype and publicity, which then carried over to baseball where he has way more publicity than a player his caliber should.

It’s sports, whenever a player gets too much hype it often comes with people hating on them. Look at Lebron - he even exceeded the hype and has been in the public eye since he was 16. The worst thing he’s ever done is raised money for the boys and girls club by airing a tv show where he decided he wanted to live in Miami instead of Cleveland and actually play with good players. People still hate him for that or because he has a different political ideology.

Hyped up athletes come with haters rooting against the hyped up athlete - often times for no good reason.
