Been doing Keto on my meals and cut out all sodas, beer, and bourbon. Drinking vodka only when I want alcohol. No fast food.

Feels good! I’m 6’6 and at my prime in my football days I weighed 265-270. You could see my abs then. I had gotten up to 315 and dropped a few lbs down to 308 then I decided to try the current diet I’m on. I weighed 292 today! My goal is to get back to 275-280

That's awesome dude. Keep it up.

I have been mostly on Keto for 3.5 years now. I weighed 210 back in 2016 and currently stay between 185 and 195 for most part. I feel great.

If you hit a plateau, cut back on protein!

Debbie downer moment: don’t be discouraged when it slows.

You haven’t had a caloric deficit of ~2600 calories a day, so a lot of that was your body’s hemostasis adjusting and carrying less water.

That's awesome.

You should know that 8-10 lbs are water weight and will come back as soon as you stop keto.

Good job!

They're right that a lot of the initial loss is water weight, BUT it is extremely motivating to see the trend downwards and that's what really keeps you on track IMO.

Download the app HappyScale or Libra and enter your weight into it each day. It creates really great visuals based on trends, so even if you fluctuate back up and down sometimes depending on sodium and water intake, it shows your overall trend downwards.

Having the discipline to stick to a diet is not easy. I would know. I’m on one now and have lost about 15 lbs.
Congratulations and keep it up!

Congrats on the weight cut. Out of my ignorance and possible laziness, what type of food is typical in the keto diet?

I've found the only way I stick with it is to go all in (with my training). I then start to view food strictly as fuel.

Just curious, why no bourbon? If you’re not mixing soda with it, it should be fine.
